Remember Tanner saying Nick Robertson would be in the top 6 and win the Calder. Not looking good so far Tanner. I also love how many people said the Leafs needed more grit and leadership, but Tanner said only fools believed that narrative. The Leafs just ran into a hot goalie but were otherwise perfectly constructed to win the Cup. I guess Dubas disagreed and went out to add Simmonds, Thornton, Bogosian, etc...Ouch. |

So what are the D pairings?
I've seen the following listed Daily Faceoff:
Rielly-Brodie
Muzzin-Holl
Lehtonen*-Bogo
* Dermott was listed on the site in this spot up until just now...
Looks like Left Wing Lock has those pairings as well. |

Prediction thread took too much time to fill out. I gotta create an auto filler.
I even skipped a bunch as well.

I wouldn’t read too much into any line combinations. Other than Matthews with Marner and JT with Willy. Lines may change each and every game to start the year.
Jumbo is not playing every shift with Matthews and Marner all season. It won’t happen.
Regardless, it is going to be a fun ride this year. |

So Covid is far from ideal, but I'm actually extremely excited for the upcoming season.
Not because of the moves the Leafs have made... and not because of an all-Canadian division either.
I'm excited because:
1. There will be no pre-season games (which are dumb) so teams will need to test their mettle against real competition and make changes on the fly
2. The length of the season will be closer to the ideal number of regular season games (approx 60) as opposed to way too many (82).
Really interested to see how it all shakes out considering these two factors. |

Pretty much, I agree.
Nice to have hockey back, even without fans in the stands. |

I like the shorter camp and lack of pre- season games....they really need to drop down to a max of 4 pre season games when things return to normal.
I dont mind the 82 game season but feel the playoffs go too late into the year. Maybe start the season a week earlier, and play 80 games? Dunno.
I feel the top 3 teams in the North division will finish a mere point or two apart.
The east division is a complete crapshoot, thats gonna be tough. Outside of NJ, all the teams seem evenly matched. |

Can't call it the Canadian division because the Canadiens are contained wholly in the national jurisdiction of Quebec |
