Just like Lowry has been for the last three years! Worst and most overrated Jet ever!
- TheUltimateJet

Even if I thought he was bad, he is definitely not the worst or most overrated Jet ever. That is Pavelec or Myers by miles

Lowry is without a doubt the most overrated Jet since relocation from Atlanta.

Yeah too bad, Sbisa's size, physical play and ability to drop the mitts might of been needed, I could've seen him getting in the lineup more then was thought he would, Calgary is going to continue to run the Jets runt dmen and as much as I think Poolman is decent he's fragile, won't be surprised if he's injured sooner then later.

From everything I've heard it sounds like Heinola is going to be skating with the team once his quarantine is over so we'll see, really hope they give Niku a legit chance to prove himself, if he does good great and if he fails to then so be it, just hope he's given the opportunity.

Ya I will miss Sbisa. He was very underrated. No wonder why Nashville scooped him up. They know how to find quality defense. Not many teams can trade away a Weber in his prime, and Jones as a young stud, while maintaining a top 5 D core every year. It's unfair how well they have done in that department.

That is good news about Heinola. My only concern is that he gets sewered with a brutal pairing. Heinola in my opinion was neck-and-neck with Byram for best D in the U20 tournament. He carried the Finns on his back. I had never seen him look so assertive and confident. His ceiling went up in my books.

I just wish he would realize that he is the biggest physical threat on the ice in almost every game. Go out there and hit everybody you can. Stick up for your talented buddies and be the animal you are capable of being. He is a 4th line threat with a good faceoff, but in no way an offensive talent. Ultimately, this comes down to Maurice having a talk. Want to play in the show, this is what you need to do. Otherwise, your a Moose until you choose to play your role.

Honerable mentions to Bogo, Burmistrov, Perrault, Little (all the best on the road to recovery tho!)

That’s not a narrative. Nobody thinks or says that. Sbisa was visibly terrible. Would you like me to prepare a play by play breakdown video for you?

Are you sure cause you seem to base all your opinions on players abilities solely on what their analytics say.

The results don’t lie, and I’ll take the actual, inarguable facts over the opinion of a guy on his couch seeing 10% of the game through his own biased lense any day.
If you can’t see that Sbisa is a complete, 3-zone liability... I can’t help you

Maurice is the problem though, he sees Lowry as something more then he is, if he was slotted and utilized as you suggest this team would be in a much better situation then it is.

The first two maybe, the last two absolutely not.
-Little was a steal of a deal for a long time, and really only started to struggle in 17-18. Even then, it was an issue of Maurice not knowing what to do with him. At most, he was a negative value contract for 1-2 years.
- Perreault was a top line player for all but the last two years, and last year was the first time he was objectively overpaid for his impact.

Sure, whatever the fancy stats say Rex, I'll trust my eyes rather then a bunch of weird graphs and charts compiled by dudes that don't look like they can skate.

My favorite stat is that Sbisa was more productive then the ice tilting, analytics beast that is Adam Lowry... 😂

Just say “I’m ignorant, and do not wish to learn”. It’s okay. People always have a hard time accepting things they don’t understand

do you not see how you are contradicting yourself? and i'm not talking about Sbisa.

and even further to this, when you say "and I’ll take the actual, inarguable facts " why then do you undervalue actual points? i'd say those are actual facts.

Points are a lot less reliable than pretty much everything else. Possibly the least reliable manner of measuring offensive impact

Rexypoo, you contradict yourself all the time. You espouse analytics, yet continue to say players like Lowry (who only a good half-season in 2017-18) are good! If you believed in your Kool-aid, you would agree that Lowry needs to be off of this team!

So I guess the focus should not be on scoring goals?

I will try and give little the benefit of the doubt. I had a very hard time watching him, as he was an absolute turnover machine. It was not his fault for being stuck 1C on a team that lacked forward talent for so many years, but he was far and away a terrible puck possession player. Someone had to try and generate scoring chances I guess. Hope his recovery allows him to live a normal life again, but fully assume a comeback is not in his plans at this point.

You have now shortened Lowry’s unreal 2017-18 to half a season, which doesn’t make sense, and is yet another moving of the goalposts

It should absolutely be on just that.
Which is why you need to know about sustainability. Cody Eakin shooting double his usual percentage for 1 year made the Jets think he was an actual NHL player... until he bombed down to his usual level, and was let go

I will not tolerate Bryan Little slander.
He only did 3 things wrong in his entire career:
1: turning 30, as all players do
2: Stralman
3: being a shoot first player on a line with other shooters

If Little doesn’t get his spine shattered by f*ckin Stralman, and Maurice keeps the best line in 2.0 history together (Perreault-Little-Ehlers), it’s likely that he’s still a very good forward, and the Jets are a powerhouse offensively.

A - may be correct
B - is absolutely not correct and more assumptions

its a view point, an opinion it is it not gospel
