Imagine defending Ristolainen and bashing Sam Reinhart and thinking you're always right.

You do defend Ristolainen better than Ristolainen defends though, i'll give you that

- sbroads24

I said he was 2nd line player and maybe top at 60ish pts and well, there you have it. I know, it's painful to see me being right about things and you, not so much, but it is what it is. I am sure you have gifts too, just not presented on this site, but this site site is not that big a deal.

Lightning utilizing $15m in LTIR to offset their cap overage.

That's 18% over the cap for those keeping track at home.

But the NHL is poor

They should put no more than 10% in the next agreement. This makes it a soft cap for the wealthy teams.

The sad thing is Myers first two years were leaps and bounds better than any season Ristolainen has had.

He's legit never been good. He looked like he was gonna be good because he was a man at 18.

- sbroads24

you could make a case myers was better the first two seasons then dahlin

But, you felt the need to post that and rip Fitz's balls off almost EVERY SINGLE DAY and win those arguments. So, we all have needs, mine are mostly BS, not sure about yours.

This is a good post.

Wonder if expectations have anything to do with that, aside from the #'s?

Hmmm, losing 10-20 mil a year, does that make you a wealthy team because the owner is wealthy or is a team wealthy because they make a substantial profit. Me, being humble, that is above my pay grade.

It’s kind of weird that you always go back to goaltending for the teams failures. If I’m the GM or coach and my 9 million dollar goal scorer is defensively lacking and got out scored by a goalie in the scrimmages I’d be looking in that direction. 9 mil can buy you some serious offence and defence.
- Camel

Goaltending lost us many more games than Skinner did
And it’s not even close

Also.... bringing up Skinner in this regard makes
ZERO SENSE
We are stuck with him

But we aren’t stuck with an Ullmark/Hutton combo
That potentially can be improved

I mean the 4 goals in the final 25 games in his 40 goal year and his whopping 14 goals last year/ Also, his jaw dropping play making ability that sets up so many goals and garners those huge numbers of 9, 13, and 11 assists in those seasons that the system doesn't matter/maybe matters, who cares? While, defensively holding down the fort like a true trooper. That charm that could only win Buffalo fans over.
- GilPerreault11

Fun fact,
Skinner had 1 more goal than Olofsson in the initial 15 games, which includes Olo's blazing start of 6 PP Goals in his first 7 games. Jeff had 7 in 15, while Olo went cold in games 8 - 15 posting 6 goals. Skinner Averaged about 30 seconds more ATOI while Olo enjoyed the benefits of 1st PP time.

Net/net; Skinner outscored Olo with all his goals at EV, while Olo's goals came while they had the man advantage. Unfortunately, Olo's PP prowess fell off having only potted 5 more PP G's in the next 35 games he could play.

I am beyond hurt, tears almost that you, Homie, Navin, did not say you would have a drink with me. That hits me hard because, ya know, you, me and a drink together was on the top of my bucket list. Huh, I am going to have to re-do my bucket list. Thank you very little.

Not really. If this makes you feel good (it obviously does) than good for you.

I enjoy the banter.

He's not Luke Schenn. It's funny how Sabres fans eat their own but lap up other team's junk, ahem, Jeff Skinner.

I wish the Sabres would trade Risto and he would be utilized right and Sabres fans would then be looking for a D who could eat minutes like him, have the mobility, and the physical side while he finds his niche on a new team. Many will be like, as they are now, how did we trade ROR!" They will be like that on a lesser scale with Risto. .

- GilPerreault11

Wait so utilizing Risto right isn’t on Risto it’s on the coach?

But yes please tell me how I am wrong with Skinners utilization.

Vs insurance payouts? Not sure. But they're also paying Tyler Johnson and Luke Schenn which doesn't even figure into that amount
