Dahlin, and then who knows what happens with the cap...
- Stripes77

It feels like the cap isn't going up anytime soon.

Good question. I'm not quite there yet only because I like cozens as a player and the Sabres are still behind the 8-ball when it comes to drafting and developing
- Michael Pachla

Even if you like the trade from a value perspective (certainly debatable), it's easy to suggest that the Sabres pipeline and salary structure aren't in position to make the deal. It's the kind of deal a cup contender makes. We're not, and will already struggle to bring back some key pieces on the current team.

Anybody hear anything about a "no fly" list at nfl games?
Those that breached the capital may not only not be allowed into the game , but arrested on the spot when they show their I.d's.

I don’t see what the problem is..... you break the law. You get arrested and go to jail.

No issues at all with this.

I’ve mentioned this a ton of times

Teams like the leafs hawks Bruins Tampa etc. they find cap space every year. Just need to be creative.

Not even worried about it

They may not be able to ever own a hand gun, travel to Canada, fly on planes, travel abroad. Among other restrictions.

Missing the Bill's game is low on the list.
Imagine being ready for your first Bill's playoff game in 25 years, but too miss it completely in jail.

Bigger, stronger, probably offensively better than Cirelli.
If they get the nasty out of him, lookout.
Someone needs to piss him off every game

- IonSabres

Why is Clb trading him then?

Man I just started to think or all the good to great young QB’s in the AFC. Watson, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Mayfield, Jackson, Burrow, soon to be Lawrence. Possible Fields to NYJ. Fudge!

Allen needs to keep up the eliteness and McBean needs to keep finding those gems for us to be in the mix each year. Or just win the division every year........

Oh yea and I forgot about Lock. We screwed

CBJ's GM plays hardball with his RFA's, using the hammer in negoatiations while he can...before they turn UFA and then they have the hammer and use it.
His words in an interview, not mine.
He pulled the hammer out 3 or 4 years ago with Josh Anderson, hence why he requested a trade as well.
Columbus is not a good team to be drafted by.

I would give someone a sweetener to take Okposo or Skinner off our hands if it meant keeping Reinhart (permitting we can resign him on a reasonable contract with term)

if you're new jersey, why would you do that?

and if you're buffalo, why would you send a draft pick for that exchange, especially when you're already missing three of your next 14 picks over the course of the next two seasons?

- Michael Pachla

NJ needs a goalie, and they’re gonna stink this year anyways. Might as well get a pick, even if it’s just a mid-round lotto ticket

The Sabres could use the Cap Space to help upgrade in goal, which they desperately need in order to make the playoffs
It’s my belief that we NEED to (at least) make the playoffs this season to keep Hall, & to make sure Eichel doesn’t ask for a trade
So if we need to give up a mid round pick to make room for that goalie upgrade we need,
then that’s no big deal imo

Vogl's line predictions for the Athletic make sense if, as it looks, ralph is intent upon moving tage up and skinner down (again):

hall - jack - tage
olofsson - staal - skunk
reider - eakin - okposo
new whipping boy - lazer larry - cozens

- Michael Pachla

That “4th line” will get more icetime than the supposed line3
And lines will change around throughout the season
Skinner & Cozens on a line together gives us a 3rd “scoring line” that we haven’t had since the Briere/Drury days

I don't know what's worse, people thinking New Jersey wants Hutton in any way shape or form, or people thinking we actually have a chance of trading for Dubois.

If the Sabres were to trade Skinner they will have to eat some substantial salary 3-4 mil a year but that saves them 5-6 a year to put towards who they want to put it towards.

Did you move to the UK or born/living there ?

What part of the UK ?

What are the odds of you getting me a great job there and paying all my moving expenses ?

- kritter65

Born in the UK moved to Singapore then to NJ and moved back 2 years ago due to family and all

I'm in the south in a place called Weymouth

Was in London but came down due to lockdown and there's lots of open space and also the beach

I never said the Devils “WANT” Hutton

Offering them a pick to take him off our hands is a reasonable possibility though with Crawford bailing on them
Happens quite frequently now-a-days

Their current #2 options had a below .900sv% last year- and that was in the AHL

I really don't like Olofsson on that line. There is not any speed on that line. They're going to struggle mightily in transition. None of those 3 guys are equipped to carry through the neutral zone or fast enough to retrieve dump-ins.

I wish Ralph and Skinner could just figure this pissing contest out because Skinner is undoubtedly the correct choice for that line - imho of course

- jcragcrumple

Does Skinner strike u as that guy though?
He doesn’t for me

LOVE London...we always watch the Youtube channel "Watched Walker" and his strolls around London. Would love to move there, but I'm guessing only the wealthy can afford it there !
