Anthony Travalgia: Bruins lineup starting to take shape The group that skated in Group A on Monday seems like the group the Bruins will begin the season with on Thursday.

I know it's not the solution that puts this team over the top...However I am interested to see if Smith and Coyle gel. Having some secondary scoring would definitely help out.

What was the reasoning behind the John Moore signing? He still can’t crack the starting 6. Maybe that’s a good thing!

Will be interesting to see how this defence performs! Fingers are crossed that 1 or 2 of Vak, Lauzon, Zboril develop into full time players or increased roles.

Very easy to re open the 2015 Draft wounds. The list of quality NHL players drafted after Senyshyn keeps growing too. It’s actually almost unbelievable.

What’s even worse is they traded Dougie Hamilton for that pick. They did however get Lauzon out of that deal as well so not all lost. But yah that’s what happens when you get cute in the draft and take a guy not even projected anywhere close. A terrible mistake.

Well hopefully Zboril redeems some of the 2015 draft luster. Hopefully just a late bloomer...
Let's not forget Carlo was picked in the 2nd round of that draft.

Bruins get flack for their choices in the 2015 drafts and deserve a lot of it.

However, at same time, the following players were all chosen before Bruins drafted and before Barzal went to Isle.
- D Strome - C - 164-36-69-105
- P Zacha - C - 266-37-71-108
- L Crouse - W - 230-32-31-63
- D Gurianov - W - 86-21-12-33
None of those players have met expectations either.

I think the biggest issue is THREE picks in a row including a complete reach on one of them on a guy that was at best a mid 2nd rounder.

If Carlo was picked in 1st round and Senyshyn in the 2nd would you be happier?

Actually no, at the time we needed forward help in the pool. We were "okay" on the back end in 2015 and the more pressing need was forwards...plenty of true first round forward talent was still available when Senyshyn was picked.

I'm talking about end results. Carlo, though picked in 2nd round, is much better than 2 of the 3 we picked in 1st round.

Bruins get slagged for those 3 picks as only 1 is regular NHL-er. So if Carlo and Sen picks were switched, would the optics be better?

If you only looked at end results and ignored pre-draft info and team needs then yes, the optics would be better...

It's not a question of unhappy vs happy. It's laughable. I found humor in it. It's not any deeper than I saw him on waivers, I laughed, made a comment and resumed working.
