Am I the only one who can’t comment about Laine from previous? I will now. That guy is not someone I want in my dressing room. Too selfish. He been a pain since the get go. I’m guessing neither LA nor Anaheim want the headache that he brings with his forty goals and twenty assists. Not to mention having to pay through the nose for the pleasure.

The waiver wire is pretty interesting. Remember when the Habs signed Michael Frolik and Corey Perry to league minimum contracts. This apparently signified they were out of the Hoffman sweepstakes. I explained that both guys were just taxi squad depth. Both are on waivers today, destined for the taxi squad.

Also, Riley Barber (the substantive UFA signing by the Wings) was the first guy waived. I guess making the taxi squad for the worst team in the NHL was a tall task.

It makes total Ek sense. Just as much sense as him saying that out of all the teams in the division the Sabres will “stay in the race” but somehow end up in 8th.
