I would think that if he hadn't improved significantly from that point, he wouldn't be in the position he's in. Now, obviously mistakes will come. But, he has PLAYED himself onto this roster. It's not like they are making exceptions for him and he doesn't deserve it. - Tonybere
It's an amazing feat that he only started to play defense a few years ago, and now he cracked an NHL roster at 20 years old
I'm in a similar situation but my job has kept me in the buildings 98% of the time. I was deemed essential from the jump. I am not upset about being at work instead of being home because this has been a financial boon for me due to OT.
I am beginning to wonder what the mental fall out will be from this at the "conclusion". Hopefully this starts to trend the right way soon. - JRR1285
Hopefully, but you're right that there will still be fallout to deal with. My wife is phenomenal teaching the kids (gr.1) and connecting with them is her strength. Having to get up to speed on the online format, learning new programs and planning material has kept her doing school work for literally 90+% of her waking hours over the last 10 days. That simply can't keep up. And she is far from the only one.
Me? I keep my even 37% effort levels!
One of the things I am most pumped about watching!! - Tonybere
NYR will be one of the most exciting teams, BUT the D corp. and team defense NEEDS to start shaping up and not spending minutes at a time in the d zone
I think it's fair to say that my expectations will be tempered this season, but next season I will be expecting a real Stanley Cup challenger.

I have been way too productive for a long time now. Need to dial it back.
Good to hear that your wife is able to do something beneficial remotely. Some of the teachers my daughter has been interacting with have been kind of mailing it in. Better lately but early on it sucked.

Same here except for the first few weeks, and the OT.
I know this is old, but you tell me who has a better voice than this guy who is still singing.
I'm looking at you Tony.

You're looking at me because my voice is better? Thanks, man. I haven't even put any of my band's stuff up here!
Ok, ok, I know my voice is NOT QUITE as good as his.
He is crazy powerful and has hypnotic resonance. But, I still prefer the sheer beauty of Garfunkel. Seen this one a lot, though. It's real good.

Well I was assuming Hajek might be taken by Seattle, so not much of a disappointment for me. They all can't be winners. There are always a couple cat turds in the sandbox
Sure, but when you believe a player is going to be a 2nd pairing d-man and he can't even crack your top 7 --- its a bit of a letdown.
I will choose to focus on the positive: Miller, if successful with Trouba, is a GAME CHANGER for our roster! - TommyGTrain
That's the attitude. Stay positive my dudes.
Selling for prospects/picks is always a crapshoot. All the moves we made over the last 3 years directly or indirectly netted us Laf, Kakko, Lindgren, Fox, K'andre, Lundkvist, Chytil, and more i'm probably missing

Gonna lose some trades, its gonna happen. Then the team has trades like the Nash one. How (frank)ing fantastic is that one looking?! Miller and Lindgren being a possible 1-2 on the left side
