Gonna lose some trades, its gonna happen. Then the team has trades like the Nash one. How (frank)ing fantastic is that one looking?! Miller and Lindgren being a possible 1-2 on the left side

Not to mention the piece that scored us Strome.

Oh Strome. Our red headed step child. Seems like we always need at least one on our team or we feel lost to point our rage.

All these D we have are young. And with a lot of rotation in the lineup there is bound to be growing pains. I think it's a good thing to let them fall into their roles. That is unless they are really sucking and their confidence is shot to hell.

Well I was assuming Hajek might be taken by Seattle, so not much of a disappointment for me. They all can't be winners. There are always a couple cat turds in the sandbox

I know this is old, but you tell me who has a better voice than this guy who is still singing.

I'm looking at you Tony.

Best voice in music, Mike Patton, end of story. He just often chooses to do “far out” music in his multitudes of bands and projects

Always liked him with Faith no More but I don't think he has the range of Draiman

I actually was one of the first DJs in New Jersey to debut "We Care a Lot" when I was in college --- fun times and good music!

You were a DJ in college? Thats fantastic. I always picture dj's in college as just a bunch of kids getting high as hell playing whatever they liked.

OK, not at all a fan of Nu-metal(?).
My rule of a cover is don't try to sound like the original, make it your own and he did! It's a great song though I doubt they could have written it, but great cover and he showed a good range and reworking of the strings.

Mike Patton has done more diverse projects than anyone else in music. Period.
Fantomas, Melvins, Dead Cross, etc. Super talented.

Saw them at City Gardens when The Real Thing had just come out and the place was half-full. My drummer was really into them and they did not disappoint. Saw them again on Sol Invictus which featured roadie Dan Boyle, still awesome!
Speaking of great covers, I'll leave you with this from the Sol Invictus tour. Sorry about the guy punching you in the face.

Was surprised to discover Draiman’s vocal range is 5 octaves which is actually impressive. Only a select few in popular music have 5. I just think his music is uninventive. Needs to expand his horizons. Patton (6 octaves) 😉 is constantly exploring new sounds. You never know what you’re in for with his many bands and projects. He even sings songs in Italian, Spanish, German etc. Often he just makes a slew of noises. I’ll admit sometimes it’s frustrating because I want to hear him “sing” as opposed to making crazy sounds all the time. Go down the rabbit hole (it’s a very deep hole) and check out some of his s**t. I think you’ll be impressed and disgusted at the same time. Lol.

Pretty much sums it up!
I love how he loses himself in the music regarding howls and the like. There are plenty of Mike just singing, and a whole lot of noise I just can't stand. Reminds me of Thurston Moore's art projects.
The greatest 5 octave singer is Annie Haslam of Renaissance.
Had a picture of me and her from 1990 on my dresser when my wife and I first started dating and she finally asked about it and I replied,"It's the Goddess Annie!" Safe relationship.

Definitely will check it out. I really only remember him from Faith no More and kind of lost track of him after that. He always struck me as an odd bird. Saw them at the NJ arts center

The only issue i had with Disturbed and I absolutely loved everything they put out, but it was all very similar. His voice was amazing but he didn't use his range.

I think the thing that was so awesome in Sounds of Silence is the range and going from what sounded like a classically trained singer into the metal sound, and he did it seamlessly and it sounded fantastic.

I've only heard those bands, ie Disturbed, Slipknot, Korn at my buddy's house when we brew. He is determined to get me into that genre. I can respect the talent, just not my thing.
I grew up in the 80's with Slayer, Venom, Celtic Frost, Motorhead, etc. Also love early prog like early Genesis, Renaissance, PFM Cook, even Chicago.
That cover was great, I was waiting for it to go into thrash mode and it didn't to their credit. His vocals took it to the next level. That was awesome. Are they still together? I'd like to hear more diverse music from that guy, he has a solid voice.
