Maybe once they upgrade in net, and the blue line, and become not so soft. Only saving grace is they have an easier ticket to the final four. Might actually win a playoff series. |

#1: Injuries...you never know when they will occur or to who? #2) Hot Goalies: Does the name Halak ring a bell? They can steal a series that the team had no right to win.#3) Fortuitous bounces or calls that go the wrong (or right depending on who you root for) way...There is a reason why it is said that it's better to be lucky than good...And by the way, the reason Vegas lost Game 7 was that their trainers didn't administer the Heimlich maneuver to the PK unit who allowed 4 goals in only the 2nd time in NHL history which encompassed over 8,000 previous Majors in Stanley Cup play..Talk about choke

Fleury to Colorado would make a ton of sense for them, not sure Vegas trade him to their biggest rival in the west for the cup thought

Washington could win, because Chara changes the balance of power. But they also could miss the playoffs.
St.Louis could win because Hoffman is pretty powerful. But they lost Pietrangelo so they might take a step back.
Vegas could win because they added Pietrangelo, but they also might run out of magic and miss the playoffs.
Islanders could win because Sorokin is for real. He could win the Calder, Vezina, and why not add the Stanley Cup too? But Islanders could also struggle if Barzal's heart is in LA.
Columbus is a team on the rise and is picked to finish 1st in the division ahead of Tampa, Carolina, Dallas. But they are also a team in turmoil because Dubois wants out. |
