Stillman is going to be a part of the Panthers defense, but I think he might be the odd man out right now. If only because he is still waiver exempt.
I wonder if they can find a trade for Yandle that he will agree to. Seems rather unlikely, I’m afraid. Maybe Q is just sending an all Caps message to Yandle that his defensive efforts must improve if he wants to play. Everything said by Zito and all the players brought in this offseason has been about being better defensively and “harder” to play against. They really can’t bring in a guy like Hornqvist and preach to your guys that this is how you’re supposed to compete, and then allow Yandle to go dipsydoodle around out there on defense.

I'm not confident we'll see much this season. But I'm really liking the direction that Zito and Q are taking the team. Finally the right messages being sent and showing the lack of toleration for half-a'd effort. I think the whole team knows when some highly-paid players aren't pulling their weight and it has to affect team dynamics--no matter how fun they are in the locker room.

Hopefully Bob comes back soon and stronger than ever. I remember reading somewhere that he was really working hard in the off season so I hope it's not a continuation of his injury last season.

Go Panthers!

bobrovsky has 6 years left at $10 million and this contract skewing towards one of the worst ever in the NHL.
That contract calls for 60-70 games played a year with a great save % and winning games!!!!

He’s 32 this won’t age out well

It's a retirement community in Fla. Guess the players consider this team their pension years because their roster was nowhere near what they produced. Sucks for Yand's. If you are scratching Yand's, and playing Darling over Bob.......What management. I understand that a message needs to be sent, but that is a lot of dead cap space.

Hey Rats - I actually think Stillman is going to be in and Yandle will be the odd man out.

Talk about a quick change...Per ESPN, Bob was back on the ice today, but it’s unclear if he’ll be the starter for Sunday. Here’s a snippet from the article:

The Florida Panthers got goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky back Wednesday, the two-time Vezina Trophy winner joining the club on the ice for the first time since training camp started.

Bobrovsky had been on the team's "unfit to play" list since camp began Jan. 3. That term covers anyone who didn't participate in camp for any reason, whether it was injury or something related to COVID-19 -- either a positive test or potential exposure.

Whatever the reason, Bobrovsky is cleared now. He was on the ice well before the morning practice started, going through some drills and technique work, then remained with teammates for the full-squad session.

"It's great to be back, and I felt good," Bobrovsky said. "Just a few more practices and I'll be ready to go."

Bobrovsky spent more than 90 minutes on the ice, and Panthers coach Joel Quenneville said he was surprised to see how much work his goalie was able to handle after the layoff.“

I was thinking Juulsen would be in over Stillman, but he’s not on the roster. I guess he has to quarantine after coming from MtL? I thought he had to be on the roster for at least 30 days.
Good to see Bob finally able to join the team. Wonder how much longer Nutivaara will be out.
It’d be nice to see that a fire has been lit under Yandle’s ass.

I see that. Looks like you are carrying 3 rostered goalies, plus one on the taxi squad. Safe to say Knight won't be a panther this season?

Never was a part of the plan, or even a thought, for Knight to be a Panther this season.
