That is an important distinction, i.e. there may not be a designated season-long starter, just who is the starter tonight.

The Hawks are aiming to get ice time for all 3 of Subban, Delia, and Lankinen. Tough to anoint a starter with a rotation like that.

The Blackhawks are going with 12 forwards, six defensmen and two goalies on the season-opening roster due to cap reasons. Philipp Kurashev will start on the taxi squad, but Colliton said he will be in the mix this season.

I don't mind them giving each of the 3 a fair shake to get a few NHL games in this season start. I'm still thinking long term Lankinen will be the best of those 3.

I don't mind them giving each of the 3 a fair shake to get a few NHL games in this season start. I'm still thinking long term Lankinen will be the best of those 3.

Just wondering if that is the best for young defenseman, having a different goalie in all the time? Will they chase the puck behind the net, when some goalies like to play it? I just think there may be many "clown shoe" moments between the "D" and the goalies.

As wins are expected to be tough to come by this year, I would guess if one guy takes charge and plays really well, I think Colliton would ride it out to keep positivity and confidence in the process up.

I agree. This just does not sound like a good idea even though I understand why they want to do it. I suspect that management will figure it out soon enough.

Definitely could be but I think it comes down to teaching the right communication tendencies and consistency. I like to think the Hawks have some strong goaltending coaching and I guess we'll see how they manage. I just hope each goalie gets a fair shake before we start to see who gets more starts.

I think for me, I was just impressed with how he did internationally with a fair bit of pressure on him. I'm hoping he has the tenacity to play well under pressure at the NHL level. I could be wrong in the long run, but he is my pick right now. Ha ha.

Hopefully they move on. Mitch is so far behind Rodgers that he can't even see his shadow.

Also, what extra $$$??? The Bears will be shedding players just to get under the Cap and even be in the conversation to somehow re-sign A Rob.

As it stands they don't have extra money to throw around in FA and also the QB crop there might just be headlined by Mitch.

If they can work a trade for Stafford or even Ryan I'd be up for that...

Bears window closed there is so much dysfunction in the organization its laughable and pathetic. Pace drafted 4 first round busts on that alone should be fired but is coming back. Nagy who was supposed to be a quarterback developer and offensive guru failed. As long as ted Phillips is around bears won't win anothet championship.

Suter better wear that #24 proud out of respect for Rob Palmer, Doug Wilson and Nick Boynton among others.

He was already under contract for this year. The extension is for the following two years. Basically, virtually everyone's contract is up in three years.
