I like a "good fight" where the outcome is determined by who landed the most punches and no one gets literally knocked-out, but that isn't a very realistic perspective since guys are hitting each other repeatedly in the head lol

I'm an 80's baby who grew up a massive hockey fan. At my parents house they literally still have every volume of Rock'em Sock'em on VHS. I would watch them over and over, I still know the lyrics from his dance music video on volume 5. (Narrator's voice: the lyrics were awful) But then you become an adult, or suffer concussions yourself or know people who have and your perspective starts to change. I can't see boxing or the UFC moving to point fighting leagues and again if I'm honest I don't want them to, but it is hard to both justify and reconcile my enjoyment of watching combat sports |

As a recurring joke on Archer often references, being knocked unconscious can't be good for you, the longer you're out the worse it is and you should see a neurologist. That doesn't scream "safe situation". |
