Good sign Oscar stayed on the bench.

Pens aren't exactly playing great either, tho.

It's gonna be sloppy hockey league-wide for a few weeks.

Holy poop Gus likes to jump into the play....and Farabee is really looking good...a little struggle in their own end. But hey up 3-2 ....I’ll take it.

A lot of pens shots are from out side.

I like the push in the 2nd half of the period.

Looks like Hart still needs to make big strides in puck handling. There were a couple of times I thought he could’ve come out to play it.

Entertaining hockey for no preseason

Anyone else thought it was in bad taste for the ref to stop the faceoff at opening puck drop to welcome everyone back? In my opinion, that’s not an even drop taking them by surprise like that.

Agreed, not sure but up until that last push by the pens their high danger shot could not have been much. The odd man breaks and break away go to the Flyers. Just going to be firehouse hockey for a bit

I thought we were poop in the second period. We’re lucky we scored.

Considering first game I disagree a little, they are pushing the pace and besides the beginning they are getting out of their zone quick. Pens don’t look dangerous
- wcorvette

I see a completely different game. Flyers are playing at a slow pace and have not established any consistent forecheck. Pens have easy outs and easy entries all game long.

I think they are somewhere in between. Haven’t hated it and haven’t loved it. But they need to put pucks on net and then crash it.

Hopefully Hart got that one out of the way...good as time as any. Hagg was right there....he doesn’t have to try and do to much....the PK till that point has looked alright.....and the pp has been great thanks to Farabee and Gus....

I don’t think either team is being consistent. I don’t see the pens doing much except that spurt in the second period. The Flyers break out, but the rust or lack of shooting turns it back over. Sloppy hockey but Flyers have some moments where the passing is there
When they have the puck

I think the Flyers have overpassed the puck multiple times on good chances.

Sloppy ...but not much time in camp and no games...kind of expected. Top line having trouble with passes.

I always get nervous when he handles the puck, his rare weakness
- arichardson22

What happened? Did he straight up hand it to Sid?
