Why fake season? I dont get the 5.30 start.
- PT21

It's the season launch. The NBA always does it.

Just to maximize viewers with 3 national games.

I actually like it lol. Give this 730-1530 guy 1730 starts all year long!!

Match ups

Couturier vs Crosby

Hayes vs Malkin

Plenty of space open for Patrick

Really happy for Frost making the team out of camp.

Feel pretty confident that when his number is called, he'll make the most of his opportunity and work his way up the lines.

Overall, this team has some serious potential.

Looks fine to me, assuming Provy maintains his high level of play from last season.

I'm really bullish on Phil Myers and I smell a bounce back season from Ghost.

And Carter Hart will be there to erase any breakdowns.

I can't wait to see what Patrick can do. I'll be honest after last season I thought he would never play an NHL game again. And somehow I also started to equate him to a middle tier prospect talent wise. Now that he is back to being healthy its exciting. I'm hoping he shows the skills and talent that landed him as the 2nd overall pick, and could easily have been the 1st. There is still a chance he will be a superstar player.

To be honest I have always felt the exact opposite. Given his age and the fact it wasn't a structural degradation injury like a blown up knee or degenerative hip or something along those lines, I have always see migraines as a treatable condition once they got a handle on his triggers.

In the long run this whole thing was a blessing in disguise. It allowed all his core issues to get fully healed. And he is only 22, an age when most players are just starting their NHL careers.

I expect a long and productive career for the kid and always have.

I think Provy is a lock to perform the same. Myers and Sanheim still have upside as you say. Not sure on Ghost, but pray you're right. What might happen is that with our excellent forward corp, we might be able to spend more time in the O zone, scoring more goals while alleviating pressure on D. Hart is also the rock back there. I want to see improvement on the PP.

Im fine that they think this. Let them underestimate our d and vastly overestimate their own if they want.

I think it's a stretch to say they have a vastly superior d corp. I guess the top 4 is ok, but Ceci is in your top 6? Letang is injury prone, and if he goes down..yikes.

Wait until that guy actually watches Matheson and Ceci play, lol.

And we know it's just a matter of time before Letang misses games.

Everything to me reeks of at least the presence of PCS. Not migraines alone. It doesn't usually take close to 2 years to find triggers of migraines, especially with millions to spend and millions to lose. We will see I guess. I know we have hashed it out here to exhaustion.

I do also find the uncritical faith of ppl like MJL and you amusing and sweet and telling in this regard of taking Flyers brass at their word, given the far more outlandish disbelief you hombres harbor about other, much more consequential things.
