the power play not the 5 on 5 play

Solid execution and simplification on the PP. Get traffic and pucks to the net. However the teams 5 on 5 play was lacking. Not quick on the puck. No stablished forecheck. Easy outs for the Pens D. No neutral zone presence and easy entries into the Flyers zone.

It shouldn’t be a shock JvR scored by doing what he’s paid to do, in the spot he’s suppose to be in. If JvR is used this way every night, he’s gonna get 30. As said before the game, I have high hopes for this third line and second PP unit. In fact, I think they have the ability to become the first line and first PP unit.

Changes will be made of course as the season gets old.

Honest question, not sure how I would end up on this - Who is the Flyers' best Comeback Player of the Year candidate? Both Lindblom and Patrick would seem to have an interesting shot. Lindblom might be the more compelling story, but Patrick is off to a nice start.
