Sutter somehow always gets really good looks and I just wish it was anyone but him getting them. Would make the 9M 4th line look respectable. Or at least even out their plus minus in a game.

Not sure how a line that plays 15 minutes, the 3rd most, is considered 4th line, when the least played line played maybe 10 minutes.

If you looked at it like that then Brandon Sutter is the first line left wing and Tyler Motte is the 2LC

Oilers sure looked like a 2 player team. They need to fix that.

Thx. I’m in no rush to head up there. Maybe for my retirement gig when weather is nice. So no imminent plans to get there anytime soon.

At even strength the Gaudette line only played 7-8 minutes, the Beagle line played around 10 minutes each. Due to special teams Gaudette just couldn't get out there but they still managed to provide some offence, something you rarely see from the Beagle/Sutter blackhole.

So, after one game everyone was wrong and everyone else was right.

Hoglander could still wind up in the AHL within a couple months

I just want to get this right. We did win last night correct?

I thought we won our first game of they year against a team with two of the best players in the world . I thought we scored five goals also but I guess not because the comments clearly show we should have buried our chances.

Offensively, yes they are a blackhole, but they are responsible players, that provide relief for the top 2 lines. That other line is a blackhole defensively
Nothing wrong with having a line than can put pressure on the opposition and be relied on for defensive responsibilities.

Canucks need to tighten up defensively tonight. Can't be giving up 3 goals a game.

Again two of the best players in the world were on the other team . Almost impossible to stop those two.

Every game played last night had a team give up at least 4 goals

Canucks gap control in the neutral zone was much better last night than we saw last year, something I suspect Greener worked on with the team knowing they won't have Marky back there to save the day on a continual basis.

The game was close though, if McDavid and Draisaitl both convert on their hit posts the games tied. That said, the Canucks played a good team game...on to the next one!
