Did they though? Did they really? Lets be honest, that required a discipline that most on here clearly lacked. And it made threads insufferable for pages on end.

Oh I don’t want to ban anyone... be rude of me to come back out of the blue and start dropping the hammer on people... but if people can’t be decent to each other I may have to

As I was saying last night I plan to be around more often so yes I’ll be sure to make an effort to curb that topic from being discussed with too much emotion

At least Matthew's looked him in the eye when he cross checked him. Not in the back, over and over and over.. FFS
- bixll

Well he's protecting the front of the net.

What is he supposed to do, leave his position to cross check him in the chest?

You see these crosschecks every game, every year. Until there's some blatant rule application change, they'll keep happening.

So until they do, crosscheck away Benny boy!

I feel like we should talk less about who used to be annoying and more about how much the Leafs need to keep Hyman on that first line for now.
- Scabeh

What worries me is Keefe is going to use line juggling as part of his game plan...I mean if it works fantastic, opposition defences will have fits trying to match up... but I think the odds of it working without harming chemistry are slim at best

I dont want to suck any Richard here, but for what it's worth AA, I don't fully understand the hate you get. Maybe some of it, but not #1 most insufferable on the thread

My lord. Dog is on a couch about 12 feet away, and I smell a bomb he just dropped. Egads.
Oh... I think the smell woke him up.

That's what made talking to him a joke.

He'd argue something for weeks and then once someone else said something slightly different but along similar lines, he'd argue the opposite for the sole reason to get into arguments.

And he'd completely denied ever arguing the other side.

He's a jackass who only wanted to argue.

I dont have a bone in this fight..

But its pretty clear that people here struggle with anyone who has a different opinion than theirs. Its pack mentality and they resort the the most petty insults. Its sad really.

Like you said, everyone has the option of not responding.

A little bit of truth to this.

I don't know why guys are complaining about this. The rule is very simple:

If you've been to an all-star game, you can deliver cross-checks to the spine of an opposing player in front of the net.

If you've ever been voted top 3 for the Norris, murder is permitted.

It's a simple concept - not sure why people can't understand.

Goes both ways is all I’m saying

😎

1 vs 100 is the difference, though. That would lead to a huge advantage for the Leafs. Can't have that, now.

It's a stupid take. And it's brought up way too often, but for me it's the approach. There's a (slightly) less arrogant approach in the way AA brings up his opinions than guys like UG and Max. Their inability to accept oppositional viewpoints is so terribly concrete and it frustrates people.

And just because Wedgie gonna Wedgie, here's another thing about the NHL that drives me wild:

A defenceman cross-checks a guy so badly that the ref raises his arm.

Have you ever seen - at any level - a referee call two cross checks on the same play?

Once that arm goes up, that defenceman has the green light to knock the guy down another 47 times, with the most vicious cross checks imaginable. It's a free pass do to anything you want - because no way in hell the ref is giving you another 2 minutes.
