I've always felt that Danault would be an excellent fit under a guy like Tortorella. Certainly wouldn't be enough and, if he was a key piece in the deal, he'd need to be re-signed at a reasonable rate. Howver, he's been great alongside Gallgher for years now- probably the league's most underrated line. |

Dylan Cozens, Victor Olofsson, and a 1st round pick is the most Buffalo could likely offer. |

Thomas Townsend: The First 4 and PLD Rumors - Thomas Townsend
Unfortunately seeing how the cbj decided to start the season , I think it's more then PLD that might be moving towards season's end, Foligno looks irritated, Atkinson is passive , Torts and Domi are already pulling the turkey knives out on each other. This isn't a player quality problem , right now that lockeroom is toxic and team camaraderie and synergy is taking a hit...

Damn that's actually pretty good. I'd take that with pleasure. |

Not sure Toews from Chicago is an option at this time but maybe it’s time to break up the band. Let Kane go and DeBrincat.
Hawks should have traded Toews and Kane when there stock was high. If your a Hawks fan who would you rather have now, Kane or Panarin?
Saad was smart he knew it was time to leave Chicago. I give the Chicago Ownership credit for their loyalty and the high salary rewards but the time came and went on moving some parts (Kane, Seabrooke, Toews) instead they moved lots of supporting players. |

I am thinking that this team is getting tired of Torts. It is too bad because I believe Torts inspired every possible effort out of this team, and accomplished more than any other coach CBJ has had. His contract will be up this year and it probably will necessitate a change. With that being said, I am sure you could entice Mike Babcock to take the reins! |

Being I am having a lot of fun here, maybe it is time to get serious. (I sense you can hardly wait to see what's next )
Trade PLD? OK
PLD to Tampa for Cirreli and Joseph and a 2nd.....you get a good NHL center back and an NHL speedy winger and a pick! What is not to love?
The Wings could offer Mantha, Rasmussen, and a 2nd. I think both of these big bodied players would fit right in to CBJ style hockey.

Thomas none of those offers are GREAT and some are downright insulting but CBJ fans need to understand PLD's career numbers have be good but not great. GP 238, G66, ASST 93, PTS 159
He is going to bring back a solid return but don't expect the farm! |

Oh we know. Keep in mind we're also selling the promise of what he will be. He's still only 22, and still a tank |

If there was a 2016 re Draft it would look like this:
1)Matthews
2/3)Laine/Tkachuk
4)McAvoy
5)Sergachev
6)Fox
7)PLD
8)DeBrincat
9)Keller

Cozens, olo, and a first rounder seems way too much for the Sabres to give up. The way Cozens is going he could end up being at least as good as pld.
Mittlestat a first and risto is all I would send, also not saying that proposal is fair. |

Philly -nope,nope, nope. It's all cast-offs.
Montreal - starts with one of Suzuki/Romanov + Mete or Guhle ; + 2021 1st. (Habs have 13 picks this year - they can afford to give up the 1st.
Winnipeg - nope. Unless and extension's involved that's a hard NO. Laine has earlier UFA status than PLD.
Calgary - maybe. Monahan + Valimaki + pick.
Minny - maybe with Eriksson Ek +2021 1st +2022 1st
Rangers - don't think that will happen. KK was moved down to Taxi Squad - but might be a decent start. Strome is 27y.o. and will be a UFA after 21/22.

I agree - and play on the ice is showing the disfunctionality in the lockerroom. |

I’ve seen this PLD for Cirrelli + before and don’t see any benefit for TB. Point is the #1 center and is close to a point per game player over the last 3yrs, PLD is not that close. Point is only 2 yrs older than PLD. The Point/Cirrelli 1/2 center combo worked well last year. Also PLD and Point are rfa’s at the end of the 22-23 season and will both be wanting 8-10 million. More cap hell. Oh yeah, TB has another ppg center some guy named Stamkos. PLD has shown interest in large market teams, that’s not Tampa. Plus PLD’s character is suspect if he signs a contract and asks for trade not long after signing. |
