Delia will play himself out of a job in net in Chicago. He is getting this opportunity because he had played well in the AHL for Colliton. Perhaps Delia is NHL capable but if he gets further opportunity after falling out in Chicago, he better have his fundamentals and technique in good order.

Clearly wth Subban being a tremendous reflex goaltender but not solid enough overall, the composed technique goaltender Laakinen should not be a surprise to win the goalie job

I would not expect Delia to get an opportunity to play if he continues to display the aforementioned weak areas. Subban though if he is truly capable then he has to prove it. Was his past AHL experience a growing process or too much success based upon reflexes? I dk But LAAKINEN is like the good stock to invest upon. I don't see the others as a stock which might arise

Just my observations on delia and subban:
Delia looses his net too much and subban rebound control is not very good but can get better if given more games. Delia is a fringe nhl backup goalie and will be expose in the Seattle expansion draft.

I will eat crow today, thought Janmark was solid today. Nice play on Suter’s 2nd goal and went to the net when Kane found him with a beautiful pass. Wanted Wallmark in for him, but kudos to Janmark for playing really well today!!

I hope they keep Janmark with Kane once in a while good way to drive his value up at the trade deadline

He would of looked like genius since he traded up 1 spot to do it. He was right there was a once in the lifetime qb in this draft, unfortunately he was wrong on who it was. It's too bad

Apparently Scott Darling has signed an AHL deal with Rockford.

Yeah, but he's our meatball! Hoping he can stay healthy too.

Also liking Hagel and Kurashev's game...Suter and Mitchell too. That's 4 rooks that if they can continue trending growth through this season is a huge win for the Hawks.

Don't want to get to far out over our skis beating up on Detroit but IF we are going to beat up on someone their could not be a better recipient GO HAWKS !!!

Probably they want 3 goalies in Rockford just like the league is mandating
3 in the NHL in case of COVID or injury, there is a backup available in the bubble. What happens if the Hawks have to call up Tompkins cause of injury? Another goalie will be needed in Rockford that doesn’t need to be quarantined.

I would be thrilled to see Darling make it back all the way. But as to your reasoning and RPeters01 above, you are probably correct.

Detroit will not be so easily beaten later this year and beyond once they begin to insert some of their draft choices. The big German dman and Raymond come to mind. And with good young talent added we will see quality players like Larkin and Bertuzzi even more dangerous. Their defense is still weak and the goaltending average; however, Yzerman will do a good job with this team. They have some other top drafts breaking in as well

Have you heard whether the Icehogs have intra squad games as preparation for their season? With the Rockford ECHL affiliate already playing, perhaps there is not enough players for a full intra squad game..

I am curious to see how Moberg does. And cheering for Soderlund. Want to see Kyrs improved. Want to see how solid and progress made with Rogula as a professional. Morrison has been favorably reviewed but is he not a blue chip prospect. And how is Barret skating. Those are whom come to mind.
