Quinn Hughes is amazing defensively. I’ve been told.

but they STILL needed a touchdown, AND they were giving the ball back in much better field position than if they went for 4th down and blew it.

The only benefit they would get would be that IF they got the touchdown eventually, they would win, not just tie.

Bottom line, They took the ball out of Rogers' hands and put it in the hands of the best, and most experienced NFL quarterback of all time.

- Aetherial

Exactly.

You’re 4th and goal. You don’t have a better chance then that.

Instead you give it back to probably the best qb ever and think your going to get the ball back. He was going run that clock out 100%. So frigging dumb.

With that Packers D? I'll take my chances with Rodgers. Although they did pick Brady off twice in the 4th quarter and Rodgers did nothing with it. Plus on 3rd down it looked like Rodgers could've run it in for a TD. Packers did a great job of beating themselves. Kevin King should be released tonight.
- gergeswillems

Ya no doubt it wasn’t a good game for Green Bay. But the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter is usually when Rodgers plays his best and you can bet on him coming through.

Dammit what a dumbass call

Well if it's any consolation, KC will destroy Tompa Bay in 2 weeks. I don't think GB would've beaten KC either. Mahome Boy is unstoppable.

Ya they look ridiculous even with mahomes half concussed.

I still wouldn’t put it past Brady coming out of it with another ring though.

Ya, what's the deal??? I never thought he was bad...thought he was better than most... until some of the others posters said he was bad, then I felt confused.

But now he does seem quietly, perfect out there. Him and Muzzie are doing great.

Are his stats saying he's #1 or just the eye test for you?

Top 4 have been good. Even Dermott and Bogo have been less horrible. Overall defensive commitment is improving. 9 GA in first two games and 10 in last five.

Too bad that doesn’t fit the overall Leafs D or Freddie (choose one) narrative

The stats say he’s our best, or at least second best (Muzzin being #1). My eyes (and heart) say he’s our MVP.

This rational and objective view of the D is not acceptable.

That said, were I complaining about tonight's game, I thought the D were _all_ very competent. I think we could all ask more from a large number of our forwards.

Fun fact: Auston Matthews has 161 career goals. Tyler Bozak has 162 career goals.

Should’ve drafted Dubois, so we could’ve traded for Laine.

Well the gap between what people thought of him in the summer to how he actually plays was enough to think he was out number 1

To be fair, I can't tell you how many times I've watched games where the commentator makes that late-observation and I'm like, "no poop, Sherlock - what was your first clue? The ref having his hand up or the goalie skating to the bench?".

He’s actually doing a good job all on his own. Why is this so hard to acknowledge? They pair together well but Muzzin isn’t all over the place covering up for Holl.

Holl has been playing really well considering his qualities (he's a bottom pairing D).
Let's not pretend he's Heiskanen or Provorov though.

Did you know that when mcdavid attacked on holls side (reapeatedly over that 2 game span against the oilers) it was really muzzin who stopped him, even though it was holl. It was all muzzin doing.

Holl is playing fantastic and deserves credit. Too many on here thought (still do ) that he's not even ahl caliber.

No one called him heiskanen or proverov, ease up on the hyperbole....
