I’m sorry to go all out crazy on you Ses but:

No idea, WTF your talking about, but yes as far as talking about real hockey and coaching then yes.

Well I don’t want to go after Cpt because he is always right, not

It's all good 7 and you are right I can go on about the offense. I'll need to work on that.

A bit flat? Zero goals = loss. It doesn't matter who is in the nets.

I think the second goal is on Sorokin. The first was a little weak but not horrible. If they will be counting on Sorokin to have shutouts every game then this will be a bad season.

- JimmyP

First goal to me he was too far in the net and didn’t have his angle right. Initially I though he was screened but he had a good sight line and left the whole top of the net exposed. I thought it was a pretty bad goal. Hopefully he adjusts and gets his game together we’re going to need him to be good.

IMHO he sucked and if Varly is in net they win imho.

Zero goals n the three point NHL goes a long way

- nyisles7

How? They got shut out.

Not sure they win with Patrick Roy in net the way they played tonight. Maybe you can make an argument that they may have played different in front of another goaltender but other then that if you can’t score you can’t win.

Well if sOrOkin makes the saves then they are tied and maybe they win in OT or the SO. He was ok but I have a hard time believing he would be as good as Varly has been.

Yeah, he should of scored 3 goals tonight to get the win.
- JimmyP

Heh. Definitely not worried about Sorokin (yet). I figured it would take several games for him to settle in and adjust. It had been nearly a year since he had actually played in a game. His angles are off and his rebound control has not been good, but he's got Mitch Korn to lean on.
I think it's time to scratch Ross. I see no reason for both him and Martin to be in the lineup at the same time. That should be Wahlstrom's spot at this point. dal Colle adds nothing to this lineup, certainly nothing we are in need of.

Question, did he give you the saves tonight that showed he was the difference maker in net ?

Yes to all of this though maybe I’m a little more worried about sorokin. Johnston is an absolute waste of space along with MDC. Really hope we start seeing the kids getting some time in the lineup we’re a better team with that 3rd line pitching in here and there. That’s never going to happen with those two plugs.

No. No he did not. He's also only had two (2) NHL starts.

No I thought the two goal he gave up were weak. With that said the team in front of him was crap most of the game and couldn’t score. Sorokin was far from great though he seemed to settle in later in the game albeit with less chances against.

What does worry me with him early is he appears small in net. He often has a foot plus of crease in front of him. His angles are off but I think he'll adjust on that. His rebound control on low center shots is shakey. He's been a legend in Russia and I doubt that was by accident. It's two games after a short camp with no preseason, so we'll see. Of course he has yet to have the team in front of him register a goal. Hopefully he settles in soon

His positioning has not been good and rebound control is pretty terrible. Only two games in I know but still not something you want to see. I’m thinking the team may not be feeling to comfortable playing in front of him just yet. I’m in no way placating to the BS we saw tonight but the two times he has played we’ve seen the same team. I don’t think that’s coincidence.

I do wish he had at least a few games at the Bridge to acclimate to the North American game.

Me too. My god he should have enough time to get acclimated to the NHL, because sOrOkin up to this point has not. Tonight he has been outplayed by an
AHL hack. So an AHL vs KHL champion

Today was not about Sorokin at all. They didn't score a goal. They didnt test Wedgewood at all. They had the one pp with 6 shots and that was it. They looked like they mailed it in. Uninspired hockey at its finest.

Keep playing a beer league player like Ross Johnston on the 3rd line every night and expect to get shutout regularly. This team doesn’t have enough top end offense. The 3rd and 4th line hasn’t scored a goal yet. Bailey looks lost again. With Beau hurt we are basically a 1 line team
