I'd go straight to Anaheim see if Gibson and Zegras are available. Thats the only deal i'd want. Byfield will be a low end 2C, Laffy is not worth it as he plays winger.
- DirtyDan

If we trade Eichel we are rebuilding. Don’t need Gibson in that scenario. And who cares if Laffy is LW. It will take years to build the team so plenty of shots at a C.

Reider hasn't scored double digit goals in 5 seasons or so?

Lazar has been playing excellent
Girgensons had a very strong year under the current coach

Reider - he's fine , I guess?

- Boss34

Girgs has only done it twice in his career. 5 years between them.

If you asked me before the season who would put up the most points, I'd have said it was a coin toss. These are interchangeable 4th liners.

Butchered it the last time. Doesn’t mean rebuilding isn’t the right move. Trying to build on this flawed foundation with no cap and no good prospects in the system is a disaster.

If you are going to continue to come in last place at least do it by loading up your prospect pool, get better picks and slash your cap (another asset). Hope this time you get it right.

Seriously, what is gonna change next year or year after with Eichel? Dahlin, Sam will be due more money. Very few prospects coming out of system. This current team is toast. Get ahead of it before you are forced

I don't subscribe to the Athletic but I got an email asking me to and I was reading an article (it cut me off reading it quickly) but what I did read was Krueger saying he not here to be a popular coach, he's here to make the right decisions, regarding benching Skinner.
- SABRES 89

"I have a lot of respect for the noise certain decisions will make," Krueger admitted. "And in the end, quite clearly, my role is not to be popular here but to be respected at the end of the day. Whenever reckoning is on the table, it's the way we like to lead out of the coaching room here. Striving for honesty within accountability and also hopefully getting players to their potential in the end is my job, is our job."

Lafreniere doesn't fit our timeline. We need to scout 12 year olds

If we really did pull a Byfield/Turcotte trade from LA, you trade Sam/Hall/Risto/Stahl/Montour/miller and your getting three extra 1sts and a couple 2nds.

You have Byfield/Cozens/Turcotte down the middle

Quinn/Oloffson as your wings

Dahlin/Joker/Johnson/Samuelson as your D

UPL in net

With 4 firsts this year (ours a top 3 pick) and numerous 2nds. It’s an expansion year, teams will be losing players so you might be able to pick players cheap. And will have some of the most salary cap in league

You are already miles ahead of last rebuild.

Lazar finally showing why he was such a highly touted scorer when drafted. And doing it on the 4th line while maintaining his defensive role
- lulags

Lazar has been excellent. Especially considering the contract value vs. Output of 4 goals already.

Did you have had olofsson in the mix for most points?

The 4th liners are not the problem.

Its eichel, hall , dahlin and the other top players.

Unless okposo and skinner are on the 4th line.
Then it's the 4th line fault.
