You have to give the Kruegster some credit for sticking to his guns on Skinner. This can’t be all Ralph trying to beat down a proven goal scorer. Skinner has some baggage as evident with his time in Carolina. He wasn’t traded to the Sabres for next to nothing without a reason. As bad as it seems this latest scratch and skate with the taxi squad will bring this issue to a boiled finish in no time. There is for sure an end in sight and like a good movie this has an ending no one can predict for sure.

A coach gets credit for continuing to make a bad decision? Why? For being dumb more than once?

The NHL can't do poop. Ralph is essentially calling him lazy and benching him 3 games in a row. He makes $9m for the next 6.5 years with a NMC.

I think the Sabres are trying to Berglund him. Maybe they could plant some drugs on him to void his contract

Not that I know of, but jesus can we just get some competent people to run our team?

You have Kim. AND Terry! And they did good with the Bills. It’s not their fault. They have tried and tried and tried. What. More. Do. You. Want!

I don't know how they have found success with the Bills.

But I will tell you I have zero faith in them in running this hockey team.

You're way over the top now. You want to see a guy who's unlikely to ever play an NHL game in his career.

He just graduated college last year, he's playing very well in Rochester, again you say sh!t you don't know.

the gr morning guys, namely simon, grilled ralph pretty good concerning skinner
- Michael Pachla

This is funny in that we hear things differently.

I heard a bunch of cream puff questions to Ralph about Skinner...yes, they at least asked.

The "grilling " occurred after he hung up and after the commercial break. They then spent 20 minutes between them (Jeremy & Howard) discussing points of contention with Ralph...why didn't they ask follow-up questions when he was on the line.

Complete BS, IMO of course.

Who the hell is Ryan Jones? That's why he's not playing. You would never play that guy over Irwin who is a mature NHL D man who has playoff experience and some past success as a 7-8 depth guy. If you would, then you should just keep spewing your horrible ideas all over the internet because you'll never get a paycheck from an NHL team.
- Bufsaints8

Ok, who's spewing Sh!t, again the guy just graduated college, playing very well in Rochester.

Props to anyone who advised we let Skinner walk before we eventually did re-sign him. I was not one of those people.

Not sure that warrants a call-up, after 5 games of professional hockey, over a guy that's played almost 370 NHL games.

Fair enough. Could be shiny new toy syndrome. Could also be I don't wanna see Matt Irwin play number 371. I also reserve the right to change my mind and eat crow if he plays well. I hope he does. But I won't hold my breath.

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good?!? I’ll give them credit, they found two great football people to do football things.

We need an experienced, with past success, hockey person at the top (not Kim), to do hockey things... Gillis comes to mind... even if they stipulate, Adams must remain as AGM, you let Gillis, as president, run the team as he sees fit.

He certainly couldn’t do worse than Kim and Terry have... and dare I say, this team, coached (Gallant/BBQ Bruce) and run properly has talent to play MUCH BETTER than what Ralph has done.

I also hate the narrative that we got him for nothing because he was a malcontent.

He had a NTC, and had Carolina by the balls

this is a sound take...

during his time in carolina he averaged about 29 goals per 82 games...at no time during his stint with the 'canes did they make the playoffs nor did they ever have a positive goal differential (the best being -3 his rookie campaign)...and despite his 5v5 scoring acumen, he was a -96 with his best plus/minus coming his rookie season when he won the calder trophy

It doesn't say much for the current Sabres leadership that they had Borgen and Bryson both get called up and both played well, while we got to see Irwin and Davidson do nothing for multiple games.
