Don't see either team as a good option Seattle needs to focus on making Russell Wilson happy first and carson wentz is horrible.
- Elite Josh Allen

Seattle can fix there Oline and sign Watts. Wentz is going back with the Reich, who was his OC in Philadelphia who made him his money. And Indy has some money to spend. Indy and the Browns are probably the 2 teams we can't outbid. Again it's on Watts, he knows what the Bill's are willing to go to money wise.

Long time away, wanted to share my thoughts on a change up...
Trades: Montour and 1,500,000 retained to Chicago for a 2021 2nd and 2022 4th
Carter Hutton and 2022 4th to Arizona for Raanta

Lines:
Skinner Eichel Cozens
Hall Reinhart Olofsson
Arttu-Ruo Staal Mittelstadt
Asplund Lazar Rider

McCabe Risto
Dahlin Borgen
Joker Miller

Raanta
Ullmark

Okposo to taxi squad. Sheehan Eakin and Thompson healthy scratches.

Comments:
Okay here's the deal, I understand Kruger won't do this because he's a stubborn moron. But I think these lines could make the team actually look half-way decent.
Line 1: Skinner NEEDS to get going. Keep him with Jack and eventually the goes will come in. Cozens has looked good in his short time in the NHL and can provide another puck distributor to Jack & Skinner
Line 2: Reinhart will probably never get moved to center but he should. He's consistently top 3 forward on the team and is good in both ends of the ice. Pair him with Hall and Olofsson and the line will light it up. Can also swap Olofsson and Cozens if they want to give Sam some center help at times and get the kid some experience there.
Line 3: Most unrealistic line but give this Ruto kid a shot. Why the hell not?! Pairing him with Staal who is a veteran and looks uninspired could give him a jolt of energy. Also, it's time to put up or shut up with Casey. Let's see what the kid has or move on. Young wingers with a veteran center; could be an interesting touch
Line 4: Will cycle based on whose playing the best. If one of the three isn't put in Thompson or Sheahan or Eakin. Eakin has been a big disappointment. Put Okposo on taxi squad and play him if injuries or COVID happens...
Defense Pair 1: Believe it or not McCabe and Risto have been the best D pair by a mile this year
Defensive Pair 2: Dahlin needs a more defensive sound partner, enter Borgen. Kids been a welcome addition and can help with Dahlin's defensive lapses
Defensive Pair 3: Joker and Miller. Solid bottom pair
Trades:
Montour hasn't fit in here... He was trades for a 1st so a 2nd an a 4th with us retaining some isn't out of the question
Arizona isn't using Raanta and he and Hutton are on final years of their deal. We throw in a pick for taking the better player

Again, I know these aren't realistic with our incompetent coach and brain trust. But it would be DIFFERENT. And different is what this team needs right now...

Thoughts?

He looked pretty beat last year but did come alive at the end of the year. I think this is nothing more than an acknowledgement that many of these guys are injury prone and they often go 7 or 8 deep in depth.

which is fine...they're not one edge-rusher away from the super bowl anyway
- Michael Pachla

I don't disagree, however, if they let some of the depth guys go, they really could sign Watt and it would be like a good version of the Mario Williams signing. That Bills team wasn't one edge rusher away from a Super Bowl...

But if Denver releases Von Miller, and the Bills went hard and signed both of them to a 2 year deal, we have 2 years left on Allen's Rookie deal and that creates a 2-year window where we already went to the AFC Championship game and we only lost a total of 4 times this year, half of those losses to the Kansas City Chiefs who just failed to 2-peat and lost to a 700-year old Tom Brady, who has literally played in half of the past 20 Super Bowl's.

We sign Watt, Miller, draft an LB high like with Edmunds, start him and make maybe one big move toward a RB? Then we really might be "one edge-rusher" away from really making a run at it for the next 2 years.

Agreed, but I wouldn't trade Eichel until they get rid of this jamoke for a choach...and bring in a real GM who won't get ripped off. He already made a rookie mistake with Girgensons.

The Pegulas, despite what's going on with the Sabres, have a way of bringing people in, and if it's money then it's money but the Bills would instantly be a Super Bowl favorite and I don't think it's too much pressure after seeing Kansas City/Mahomes lose to Tampa Bay/Brady.

I really thought Mahomes was going to be lights out dominant for the next decade.

We could have just seen Russell Wilson 2.0 happen. 2 early back-to-back Super Bowls and lost to Tom Brady and continued to play great but never went back. And no one in the AFC, not even Baltimore, are as close to KC as we are... And if Tom Brady can go to Tampa Bay and in one season win the Super Bowl, I absolutely think Buffalo should do whatever it takes to bring in Watts and don't even let the door hit Von Miller on the ass on his way out of Denver if they cut him.

We need help in the middle of our Defense. The DT, LB and inner secondary positions are weaknesses and we really need a RB and TE. If we sign two big names on short deals and draft the positions of need this year, we have that 2 -year window to develop them and have the options once Josh's rookie deal runs out.

You really think this is an attractive job?

This core has burned through 3 coaches and the contract situation is scary bad.

That's a really good question.

Getting paid is always important - Sabres pay
Having respectable bosses in the pegulas
Good young players
