Fitz, in the grand scheme of things, on 5v5 stopping chances could be improved, yes...but compared to scoring goals it is a a distant 2nd...like way back there.
So 3 pages of yelling about it while not making a big deal if their pathetic GF woes makes it seem like you believe it is far and away the biggest problem... if it isn't, why cry about it?

- IonSabres

I’m not crying about it

ALL I’M SAYING IS THAT THE LOG LINE WAS BETTER THAN ANY OF OUR BOTTOM 6 LINES THIS SEASON

Ffs guys....

You’ve all seen me say that Goaltending needs improving about a thousand times
I’ve said DOZENS of times we need to get Jack & Hall & Skinner scoring (& i think they will)

NEVER EVER EVER- at ANY POINT- did i say anything like “not having Larsson” is our BIGGEST problem

The reading comprehension here is F*CKING BRUTAL

Look up the stats yourself
They’ve been provided OVER & OVER & OVER & OVER to show what a good 5v5 line they were
If u don’t believe me, i don’t care

- jdfitz77

I don't believe the actual difference is as huge as all your frigging crying about it for 8 months, no.
The XGA and XGF models aren't gospel.

Feel free to yell at the sky though.

we had a line like that with cozens, reider and eakin

that went to hell when okposo was inserted in the lineup

- homiedclown

Okposo has admittedly fallen off a cliff
We knew it would happen

Even though he did play well last year, I’d have been happy to see him go IF anyone was dumb enough to take him
Oh well

Whatever-
the “eye test” shows obvious difference as well

The LOG line was better
It’s unarguable....
yet you’re arguing w me about it
Pretty ridiculous dude
Putting words in my mouth that I’m not saying doesn’t change that

At this point,
I’d take ANY improvements 5v5 that we can get

Yes, prioritize 90% of effort on scoring more at 5v5.
Agreed.

Sure
Stopping more goals helps too

Since i have confidence that Jack & Hall will start scoring (soon hopefully!),
I still wanna get that upgrade over Hutton

Just an opinion, but he never seemed like an " angry fighter". He was just doing his job.
Maybe after he earned some $,he was wrestle/ fighting to keep his job?
Lots of tough guys fight less when they become better actual nhl players- not in this case 😀

* on the instigators Peter's talked about being sober for maybe 8-10 years or so? Wonder if that makes a difference if it coincided with his fights changing?

Huge Brad May fan , probably top 3 all.time sabres.
He could fight and score.

- Boss34

I can pinpoint the moment Peters became a wussy : Just before getting married.

I'm sure his soon to be bride told him "do NOT take a punch to the face - I don't want you getting a black eye or missing any teeth in our wedding pics". I'm sure that was it, because around that time, he started turning his head sideways to avoid punches to the face, all the while cocking back his arm, waiting for that one big punch (which never came).

Bad fighting aside, I still say he was the Sabres' all-time worst player in their history, and possibly THE WORST PLAYER in NHL history. He was that bad.

Harrington:

Okposo isn’t the first one to sit because, even though he’s lost a step, he can still grind and play a physical game. For all of these people asking for more Skinner, just watch half of his shifts where he is completely out of position defensively. Krueger not ok with that.

And...Skinner:

"This is my 11th year, over 700 games, I don't think I've ever really felt like I needed a day off to relook at things. I think I've seen a lot in this league. Run through adversity before in my career. You just work, keep working and put your head down."

See my note above.
Boss has an agenda to pump Risto, Olo and Girgs while hating on Sam.

Clearly they don't miss them as Lazar, Sheahan, Reider fill that gap and are out producing their legendary 5v5 scoring, lol.

Anyone who pays attention, not just watches can see the issues

- IonSabres

I find it hilarious that you guys blame the good player's, the coach, the owners. Ect.

Basically: I'm rooting for guys that work there way into the line up. Work there way into the nhl. Work hard every game. Its Buffalo Ion....

The lack of effort out of our skill guys is an absolute joke.

Skimmer
Sam
Eichel at times
Staal goes thru the motions
Hall looks like a rookie
Okposo is 150 years old and slow

Doesn't that bother you?

Larsson's fault were in 30th
Gigs lucky to be 4th in goal scoring last season
Olo only scores pp goals
They don't miss risto , after they get 2 of 8 points

😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

Hey Mike, he's scored 40G's right here on the Sabres.
Now he can't score at 5v5, when before last season he was top5 at it over 9 years.
But let's focus on his defensive game, cause that is where the team needs to improve (not)

Are you therefore suggesting that Ullmark and Hutton need to improve their Offensive output too?

IDIOTS!

Wonder who deserves a raise?

A guy that scores 12 goals with Larsson and okposo as his most common linemates.

Girgs Should has won some sort of league recognition.

Now were in 30th, the LOg line is gone.

But, but but..

the log line had 27 five on five goals in a shortened season

probably more then we will get from eichel, hall, skinner and olofsson combined this season

- homiedclown

This is a really good post. 👍

What went wrong this season?

We basically lost all 3 of those guys.

Ion and crags:

No no , that doesnt matter, we cant score goals.
🤔 those guys suck 🤔🤔

Okposo deserves to be on a bus somewhere, has no points in 9 games, and are PK has improved immensely without Larsson and Girgs. Much rather have Asplund or Rusto out there then Okposo.
