100% agree. This is nothing more than click bait. McD makes everyone around him better. Austin is currently the best sniper in the league, not arguing that, but when is the last time a guy won the Hart Trophy with 28 assists? That is what he is pacing for right now, and his career high is 36........ Great sniper, but he does seem to require Marner to hand out some pretty primary assists.

McD is the best player in the world. He does everything, and when you simply hear what the players in the league say about him, it seems to be unanimous.

I also posted kane should be mvp.the award is supposed to go to the most valuable player to their team,not the best player in the league or the best goal scorer in the league.
Kopitars numbers make him an mvp candidate as do kanes,in the words of the award.call me a homer if u want,but I answered the question as I read it.

Its a league mvp trophy, regardless of the wording. Having no other talent on a roster doesnt make a player more valuable to any team. In fact, if there isnso little talent on a roster, they likely wont make it very far. So, it really isnt very valuable having one good player on a garbage roster. Its meaningless and carries no value. It isnt valuable having pat kane and nobody else. Its wasted effort and not valuable at all.

Why is this even a discussion? Based on the fact that there are FOUR SEPARATE LEAGUES, I think that all traditional awards should be thrown away for the season. If you cannot play against the whole, how can you determine the best overall?
