Beauvillier has 0 goals in a top six role - I realize he’s been injured and played 8 games (not even gonna bring up MDC). Our d-men have a total of 2 goals in 17 games or 102 total (17 games X 6 d-men) man games played. Hate to mention Toews but this is where we miss him. We need to get the scoring depth back like we had in the playoffs ASAP.

I don't think the loss of Toews is a huge deal in light of Dobson's play but the lack of goal accumulatuon for our dmen is duly noted (though they have 3). Pulock stands out with no goals.
Things that stand out to me right now:
Brock Nelson: 1 even strength goal, and a team worst minus 7
Josh Bailey, 1 goal in 17 games.
Beauvillier, no goals on 8 games
Mayfield/Leddy combined minus 12.
Three guys who play top six forward minutes have combined for 2 even strength goals in 42 games. That's brutal

I would recall bolduc from Bridgeport and sit Mayfield. Leddy has nine points so he contributes offensively

That’s basically what I was getting at and you summed it up perfectly. Pulock with no goals is not helping. Mayfield and Leddy have been brutal. My point about Towes is he’s got 4 goals in 11 games w Avs (I get their offense is very potent), while our D has a combined 3 goals. He’s obviously getting pucks to and on net. We need more of that from our D men.

Retribution was feared after Panarin's Instagram post on 1/21 in support of opposition leader Alexi Navalny with caption "Freedom for Navalny." Panarin, who has family in Russia, has been outspoken against Putin.

Curious to hear what his first statement about it will be. You'd think that he'd come right out and deny it, assuming the allegations are false (which seems likely) but he may also be terrified for his family still living in Russia.

Trotz: Varlamov in net tonight.

Considering Sorokin shut Buffalo out last time, I'm rather surprised here. Perhaps handcuffed by the taxi squad

I'm assuming this is the reason:

Arthur Staple @StapeAthletic

Varlamov likely for Thursday vs. BOS as well. Sorokin almost certainly down to the taxi squad again for tonight so Wahlstrom can be on the roster. #Isles could have put Dal Colle on IR last week but are using Sorokin's waiver exemption to keep the roster flexible.

Yuck . This is going to be a recurring theme anytime a regular is injured? Clutterbuck is due for another injury....

Yep, full moves:

#Isles roster moves today:

-- Oliver Wahlstrom, Austin Czarnik up from the taxi squad

-- Leo Komarov down to the taxi squad

-- Michael Dal Colle on IR

Looks as though Czarnik in Komarov's spot, Sorokin backing up Varlamov and MDC on IR likely retro to last week.

I'm happy Czarnik is getting another look. Obviously it was only a single game but I liked the way he played.

I thought he looked good and was making things happen but Timashov looked terrible. I’m fine giving him time over Komarov. In fact I’m fine giving just about anyone time over Komarov that’s not named Johnston.

Wonder if Sorokin is ok with his lack of games especially after potting a shutout last game?

Yes and no. He can always say (frank) off and go back to Russia. Not saying that is his thought process I have no idea what he’s thinking but that’s always an option for him and I’m sure they’ll have no issues paying him a decent sum of cash.

He strikes me as a patient man. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lou and he haven’t already come to some sort of arrangement.

Probably I have no idea? Just a thought but being a competitive person I’m sure he’s chomping at the bit to get back in there. I would’ve been fine if trotz threw him in there tonight Varlamov’s game has been slipping a little the last few games imo. Letting in some very stoppable goals.
