I was really big on Mayfielf coming out of college and think he started out well, but he's never really turned out to be the dman I expected him to be. Not saying he's not serviceable, but he definitely hasn't been that great this season

Definitely see him more as a third pairing guy right now. His puck management is poor. Coming out of college he was described as a big physical dman with a nasty streak. He doesn't physically dominate the way I thought he would when we drafted him, which makes his poor puck skills stick out all the more

That nasty streak has gotten him into a few fights and exposed the fact that he's not a good fighter either.
