I'm a very late Boomer - and courtesy of Trudeau #1s mid-life melt downs, and some really stupid policies around natural resources we got killed on property values in the very early 80s, when we have 17-20% interest rates.... which earned us the unbridled wonder of Mulroney, free trade and the end of the Canadian economy.

for those of us late in the Boomer wave... it wasn't great - although beer prices were awesome!

nothing beats buying a 2-4 out of the mobile LCBO/BeerStore that was setup in Bala back then... "drive up beer store"

Not a huge Trudeau fan. I voted NDP in my riding with the hope that the Liberals would get cut down to a minority government, which happened. I'd always rather a minority government, regardless of party. Majority governments have too much power.

They're more obsessed with PMJT here than Habs fans are with Matthews.

They hated his old man even more. My first job moving back from the States was for an oil and gas company (owned by Conrad Black) just after the National Energy Policy. All these companies were hiring government relations departments because they couldn’t figure out why they were getting hit. We would hire all these pollsters and try to explain public opinion to them and they just didn’t get it.
