Yeah Alberta is an information black hole. Ive learned a few things about living here.

Its better to just stay away from locals and enjoy the scenery for the most part. I dont talk to them, unless they want to talk about fly fishing

I worked in the patch for half a decade, and i have many friends who're from here, but they're not people you want to discuss politics with. Just gotta find something else to bond over.. Music, hockey etc..

Mailing them in the rest of the season. What could go wrong? They need to rest Freddie and it sucks about Joe and the Zachs but giving everybody the time to get well is best move even if it costs a game along the way

Its always the challenge...politics dominates everything we do here and sadly sweet f-all we can do about it. We are in another Trudeau cycle and its stirred the hornets again. But like everything these days, the radicals get the spotlight (right and left) and those in the middle get labeled whatever. I just want some common sense...

It's not that they're all stupid, they're just too proud to listen to anyone other than the traditional streams of information. Facebook just pushed them all over edge imo. Zero chance of having a decent conversation about politics.

Im sure the States are bad, but cant be much worse because i worked with straight up Nazi's, and there's ton of them.

He's done a lot for AB, but they'll never recognize it. If i were PM i wouldnt give the oil industry a dime and force them to diversify the economy out here.

Ditto, and no. I attended a charity function a couple of years back that she attended. I actually got to converse with her. She talked in circles and honestly had no clue what she was speaking about. She spoke like a journalist (she is), nothing natural and contrived.

Theres just sooooo much invested in oil and gas infrastructure out here that its hard to imagine AB could shift to something else.

I stand by my statement that AB is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. If they just focus a bit more on green energy, tourism, agriculture, tech etc.. They can manage w/o needing to pillage the earth of oil.
