I don't know a lot about Galchenyuk, but I've been led to believe that his big problem is sub-par skating.

So I don't really think he's going to be a great fit on our top two lines.

I heard his biggest problem was nose candy AKA booger sugar.

I don't so much want to reward him, because I get the suggestion that's being made here, inasmuch as injuries to Hyman and Thornton change the top-6 LW depth. We could plop Mikheyev in there or Engvall in there, but they haven't necessarily fared well in these roles in the past. They've earned the opportunity more, I'll grant. I'm just basing it on Galchenyuk's past successes where he had success with other players who did the heavy lifting for him.

I understand that Galchy has a lot to prove to even get into the lineup, but if it works then it works. The whole "player x deserves top line/critical minutes because he works hard" is a bit reminiscent of the whole Babcock strategy.
