I keep waiting for 46 to paste the guy through the boards from behind, and I’m always disappointed when it doesn’t happen 🤣

I just finished watching, nice to see Keefe give Nylander a ton of ice and move JT up. Try to quiet all the noise from the media and us lunatics.

Tavares with the tap in and Rittich reaches back and steals it. You had to know then we were going to lose. 😞

Fell asleep after the nice JT tip on the first goal (not Hutch's fault imo bc of the tip).

Leafs have good roster depth, but missing key players in Thornton, Andersen, Simmonds, Muzzin and Hyman (biggest miss) obviously is going to hurt.

Losses happen, let's see how they play next game.

If there are still a few players injured tomorrow, I would like to see Galchenyuk in the lineup, and maybe Woll with his first start..

I didnt watch the game, looks like I picked a good one to skip.
Looks like the Leafs had the better of the overall stats. so makes sense they lose

Leafs starting their 4th string goalie

Just when you though they built up a good cushion of Goalies...Andersen > Campbell > Dell .....boom Hutch is back

What I don’t like about Hutch’s game:

1. He just doesn’t close up the 5 hole well when he goes down. It’s not he’s sometimes late or sloppy, it’s standard.
2. His stick position is weird. My kid who’s a pretty good goalie pointed out that he thinks his paddle is too big which makes it almost impossible to have your hands in the right position when in the butterfly, opening up the 5 hole.
3. Game moves too fast for him. He’s always whipping his head around trying to find the puck and the play and is often surprised when it hits him or dribbles through the crease for a tap in. It often leaves big holes open because of how he recovers thinking the play is going one way when it’s going another.
4. He’s a lazy Swede

Listening to the flames coach talk about how awesome they were on the 5on3 kill the leafs didn't do poop. Easy kill.
- burn

Maybe they didnt do poop because of what the flames were doing?
Or maybe a combo of both?

Leafs just didn't hit the spots last night. JT, missed a tap in. A few break aways, Calgary tender was good.

Looking at the highlights and talking to others at work that watched the game. Just missed their chances. I guess the reffing was OMG..

Leafs did all the moving but the flames stayed in position.

For me a 5 on 3 you need to move the puck quickly from d to d get players to move
and shot the puck at the net.

The "soft goal" was a deflection....it happens to the best of goalies and probably a lot for hutch lol.
The leafs ran into a hot goalie on the other side and they were not getting any "puck luck". Just wasnt their night.
No biggie.

I think the goalie robbed JT of an easy tap in.
And the reffing....well it standard NHL reffing. Bad.

The league needs to step in a do something about it. Enough is enough.

So, JT missed an easy tap in.. I heard.

Nobody knows what is and is not a goal. Certainly the video replay guys don't know, from night to night.

JT didnt look bad, just couldnt get a good bounce.
Willie did some floating....but was ok. I didnt notice him most of the game....which I guess isnt great.

JT is in a slump for sure.
He needs a boost of Marner.

No more of this PP unit, ever again:

Matthews
Marner
Nylander
Tavares
Rielly

It was certainly terrible last night, and not very good for most of last season.
