He may have scored a goal by going to the net, but no thank you. Watching him against the Oilers and the Leafs, he's a BS player with surprisingly limited talent for the expectations placed on him. He's overrated because of his 4th overall pedigree, but there isn't much in his game that I loved. He's an average skater, he's above average in physicality but it's not productive or bullish - it's just hits. His on-ice vision and shot are not top-6 worthy.

What I saw from him were two plays that could easily have gotten him in the soup: His bull crap hit on Koekkoek of the Oilers on Saturday, and his bull crap elbow to Vesey's face last night.

If he was on the Leafs, he'd make the suspensions doled out to Kadri look laughable.

I don't care about his supposed pedigree or that he hasn't lived up to it.

He doesn't need to be a Top 6 player on this team -- he's not one on CGY and the Leafs don't need a Top 6 guy anyway. What I see is a player who adds grit and can push plugs like Vesey out of the lineup while adding some C/LW versatility.

But, to be honest, I was really just fishing for a response from CC. Mission accomplished!

Not lying here: I catch myself saying "franking" in real life.

A wildly optimistic view sees me back in an office by September, but I'm guessing the real goal to shoot for is January 2022.

And I franking hate working from home.

The dog loves it, though.

The biggest positive I see out of all this, is that those who can work remotely (which I can) will have far more freedom to do so. I envision a lot of weeks working from the cottage, or for that matter, another country, like Mexico, in the future.

Yeah, school for the kids and stuff won't make it possible all the time, but when you can get flights for $200 and under, and accomodations can be found pretty cheap these days, when schools are out, might as well work from Cancun instead of snowy Toronto. Or work lakeside, instead of an office from time to time.

When borders open, the price of flights is going to skyrocket.
