It's a weird season.
I have zero interest in watching any other NHL games out of the Canadian Division.
Not sure if it's because so many games have been postponed and it doesn't seem as relevant, or if it's because the Nucks aren't playing them and I have no vested interest in the outcomes.

This vegas/avs game has been good. Fluery is playing out of his mind. Doesn’t want to go to Seattle I think.

For me it's the latter. Not seeing any other teams play the Canucks takes away from caring about them – or to an extent watching another Canadian team play a random team. It's all Canada now

I've felt that way for the last 2 seasons, I only watched the medal games from the Juniors. I'm starting to find hockey boring unless it's the Canucks and they're sucking.

It's actually hilarious how much of a yo-yo career MAF has.
Seems to go from shit to lights out year to year.

Sounds about right.
I love the all Cdn division and the atmosphere it brings, but certainly reduces the overall level of attention i pay to the league.

Disagree.
Personally, I like the intensity and rivalry it breeds for Vancouver.

I'd still prefer to play the rest of the league tho.
I wonder what fans in our divisions think.

Agreed, but I like the mini series aspect, makes the games more emotional, especially if fans were there. Not a viable option though, tickets are hard to sell if you're playing consecutive games agains the same team.

Those Panthers just don't stop winning. They outshot Dallas 51-25. The difference a good coach can make.

The coach is doing a good job of telling the players where to shoot the puck.

Holy poop why is Gallant still on the sidelines? There has to be something dark and dirty about the guy or why isn't he currently employed?

Look at his track record in the NHL and it's pretty good. He got fired ( and stranded ) by Florida after an 11-10 start which is actually pretty damned good by Florida standards.

24-19 in Vegas?

Copied from an article from ESPN. Interesting that they mention Schmidt's struggles, as well as a couple others, as part of the reason for Gallant getting fired.

I'll give it a B+. Gallant was a victim of a lot of different factors: underwhelming performances from veteran players like Fleury, Schmidt and Jonathan Marchessault; bad puck luck, given their shooting percentage at 5-on-5; and having set the bar ridiculously high in his first season. Yet the Knights were right in the playoff race, three points out of first place. There were signs of trouble, but there was also a lot of goodwill Gallant had built up, in theory.

Sounds like he wanted to be back coaching right away. His contract expires after this season, so maybe we see him back soon.

Also, as much as I want to see a change at coach and GM, I don't think we see that until very late or at end of season.
