I wish
How many teams in the league have their top 5 scorer filled with guys they didn't draft? Only 2 in top 12. - Fredobbface
you wish Timmins was better than you at lifting weights? take a break from working out then, I'm sure he'll surpass you at some point |

kk is doing better because he's not on the 1st PP unit. you have to remember, Suzuki then faces off with the other team best defensive center (their Danault). so yeah, not easy for him. - fidopro
While a valid point, he also has trouble against.... well everyone else.

It's completely normal and a learning process for Suzuki to learn how to handle the faceoff circle, just saying it's not helping the powerplay to be chasing the puck everytime. |

not denying it, but still. the opponent coaches probably play their best defensive line againts the Suzuki line (at 5x5 I mean). not the kk line.

Without looking, I'd say Danault.
But do you really want that current offensive blackhole on the powerplay?
Hence the KK suggestion, who's our 2nd best.
Edit: Scratch, that, Evans is slightly better than KK. |

2nd best is probably Evans. and no, Danault cannot take all the faceoffs, end of period, end of game, pk, pp...
that's the price to pay to have a very young center line. they'll get better. may take a few years though.

Evans' % might be better but he surely took less FOs |

Yeah.... we've had some rough years at the draft. Hopefully the last 3-4 years will turn out different, things are looking up.
But KK will be in that top 5 in scoring once given more than third line minutes. Could be this year, will probably be next year.
I'd try putting both KK and Suzuki on the first wave of powerplay. Suzuki keeps losing the faceoff and it's not helping the pp succeed while KK is doing pretty damn good in these situations.
Suzuki setting up KK for his LASER SHOT would be sweet.

As a human ressource guy, do you know of alot of employees who sucked at the first 10 years of their job but suddenly got better?

Not significantly less, no.
KK and Evans are pretty damn close in average time on ice.

Maybe benching Tatar ( best points last year) and moving Danault (one of the hardest lines to play against last year) wasn't the smart thing to do for CJ... |

to me the most unvelievable fact remains that not once in 18 years has he drafted a 70 pt player. not one.
I mean, he's not only bad but also very unlucky. |

you also gotta wonder why he's been there for so frickin' long... he's seen a few GMs and coaches pass by, but for some reason his job never really seemed in danger |
