How have you not realized that he's (frank)ing with you yet
- eichiefs9

he genuinely isn't......read his posts (other than on this thread) he repeatedly claims that Matthews is a better player.

I think you need to calm down. And I suspect posting the same stupid image over and over probably just serves to annoy other posters.

sorry spatso, didn't realize it was annoying you........

Anybody claiming Jack is injured needs to explain why he's hurt after a two week Covid break. If he was so injured a two week break doesn't heal him then why is he on the ice? So he can "lead" a team to 30th...again?

I'm not annoyed, just trying to be respectful of others. Stop being so triggered. Perhaps some breathing excercises might help. Close your mouth, and breathe deep.

Again, stop being so triggered. and refrain from meaningless non hockey posts on the main boards, they only serve to annoy other people

Well,
Stamkos was injured last season before giving up after 57 games in because it wasn't getting better.

So this makes another total wasted season if he's injured because he obviously needs to shut it down. If he's not injured - as his coach says - then he's checked out or is suddenly slower than Clutterbuck.
Is he hiding the injury from the team?

All scenarios look terrible.

Skinner's contract is one of the worst in hockey! No team will trade for him. Buffalo is gonna have to deal with it or buy him out

Mcdavid - 24 years old
- 371 games, 506 pts
- 1 x hart, 2 x lindsey, 2 x art ross (and would have run away with the calder if he didn't miss most of his rookie season)......AND his team has won a playoff round

matthews - 23 year old
- 301 gp, 314 pts
- 1 x calder....AND zero playoff wins

tell me again about potential. you're saying mcdavid, despite being INFINITELY more successful than matthews so far, still hasn't reached his full potential.

thank you for proving my point.

- sensarmy_11

It’s a tough call, you’re right. McDavid has the edge in speed and play making. Matthews is the superior goal-scorer, puck-handler, and defensive player.

Flip a coin, I suppose. Maybe I’ll go Matthews, but only because his success is driving more wins for TO

Really? McDavid is clearly not at the Matthews level in those areas, but I’m not sure it’s fair to say he’s “not close”

He truly has taken a step forward. I do feel there is argument to be made that he's the best player in the league. Obviously, Nathan Mackinnon has something to say about that though.

The media really has picked up on this, and I think it's something we'll be hearing much more about in the coming months and years.

The Sabres actually have a fair bit of talent. I'm really puzzled as to where the dysfunction comes from. Eichel is an excellent player. Often held up as not too far behind Matthews. Any time you're getting compared to the best player in the league, you know there is talent there. So is Dahlin, an excellent talent. Risto has his warts, but is pretty good at some aspects as well. Hall, Reinhart, Staal, all decent supporting cast. This is not a roster as bare and talentless as the Sens, they really should be able to string some wins together. It really is puzzling as to why it hasnt' come together better than it has.

Agreed 100%. For a while there, it looked like Eichel was ready to claim the title of “2nd best centre in the league, next to Matthews”. He’s dropped off, which is strange

seemed a lot more like he was messing with you 2 clowns.

(frank) leaf fans are dumb

and (frank)stick prock has defintely claimed on multiple occasions that matthews is better than mcdavid. I believe you were messing around, but that clown actually believes what he wrote.
