The last time the Hawks were nationally televised (Detroit?) Bob McKenzie was on and said the Hawks were in contact with Toews, but that there was virtually no news on the matter. The longer this drags on the more concerning it is. You start thinking much less about Hockey and much more simply about his well being.
Last I saw (I think last week) they said Dach was skating (and skating very well), but not doing much else. They cautioned that he was skating so well that he looked like he could come back soon, but everyone doused all that talk immediately and said they will be more than cautious with him and his wrist. I think the earliest we see him is next year. - Chunk

Precisely correct
Maybe you might not get covid
Maybe you survive if did get it
It is your right and I would not stop anyone from free election
But I won't risk it
You noticed sports leagues won't risk not being safe
I know a President who took chances
He got it
I hope others who don't get vaccinated for any of different reasons, do not get it
More strains mutations popping up
People smoke too and get cancer
It is a risk taking society
I thinkajority of business people strongly consider getting a vaccination and being safe
It is an economic well being based decision
But even with free vaccination taken by many
Covid will be in our midst for years - jhawk59
You stand a better chance of dying from medical malpractice or a car accident then covid.

Fairly recently they said Dach was going to skate soon, but that he is a long way off.
Toews is complete silence in the past couple weeks. - mohel
Dach 5 weeks away...
I got both my cooties shots, but will now continue into the grocery store not gazing but going exactly to the objects on my list and out under ten minutes.
Making sure I don't group up with my dear neighbors, like we are bubbled.
Not going to inside establishments.
I know an 8th year old who was terribly sick.
Pedalling "TURD" imumnity is a very early - after your shots, I will try and not break the chain, because the other strains haven't right it yet.
...AND that is why, there is no reason for any of us to put down our guard, thinking "most" of us were ASSymptomoatic ..we got it and it is gone.
I will be ready for my Biden Booster Shot in January 2022, and then look at numbers and start relaxing.
...and if you think this is conjecture I will gladly send you the Covid totals for my Pinellas county which I have faithfully kept everyday since March 26, 2019.
Until I see a TRUE change in the death rate (which does vacillate) because thee has NEVER been a three day period where their were substantial good drops in a row, I am not gonna be happy, excited in a BritishUK Mail article that is of that opinion.
stats are science as is science is science.
Trust that , not, "it will go away by THIS EASTER." |

Tell that to the 500,000 muvver frankers who dont drive or sue their doctors any more...
and this is a science fact not an opinion:
More than 38,000 people die every year in crashes on U.S. roadways. The U.S. traffic fatality rate is 12.4 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants. An additional 4.4 million are injured seriously enough to require medical attention. Road crashes are the leading cause of death in the U.S. for people aged 1-54.
AND:
Recent studies of medical errors have estimated errors may account for as many as 251,000 deaths annually in the United States (U.S)., making medical errors the third leading cause of death.
and I do understand I DRIVE RISKIER...I do use my signals and don't pass from the right and bunch up, and I do not alway leave enough distance...but with covid-19
YOU CAN allow LESS risk. |

Medical malpractice doesn’t kill 500,000 Americans in 11 months. And we mitigate the effects of it as much as possible, thru education, thru the law, criminal and civil, thru oversight.
Heart attacks aren’t contagious, so I’m not sure that there is a comparison with Covid-19 deaths. But we mitigate against heart attacks, too - quitting smoking, diet, exercise.
Flu kills many fewer Americans (30,000 each year, I think) and it is not as contagious. But we also mitigate against the effects of flu and other infectious diseases - vaccines, sanitation requirements, etc.
Drunk drivers - and other causes of traffic accidents - kill about 40,000 Ameticans each year. And would be much higher if not for the mitigating actions society takes to make roads safer - speed limits, mandatory safety equipment on cars, laws and enforcement activities against drunk drivers.
All anyone is asking is to treat the Covid-19 coronavirus seriously and follow the recommended mitigation activities recommended. Lots of things in life are risky - through our actions, we try to minimize the risks. |

I normally hate doing comparisons of draft picks, but I was looking at Hughes and Kakko thus far this year. It is really neat to see Hughes stepping it up. He's been playing pretty good defense and putting up points. He still gets pushed around a little bit, but it looks like things are slowing down for him.
Kakko has a little bit of Hagel in him. He seems to be doing almost everything right, but the points aren't coming.
I would have loved to see how Dach followed up his first year. I'd also like to see what Turcotte could do in the NHL. Too bad they were injured early. |

That has occurred. In return, would it be okay to have the right to challenge the recommended mitigation activities before giving up our civil liberties? Hopefully that isn't too much of an imposition...... |

The Hawks will now have a 3-game series at Carolina, with this Saturday’s rescheduled game tacked on, and then the final home series against Dallas. Regular season extended by 2 days. |

I would hope you would have evidence-based reasons for doing so - which certainly could be different from the evidence I use.
But comments from Scott Atlas and other Trump advisors - which too many people rely on - isn’t it. (Not saying that you have relied on those types - I really don’t know.) |

Jeez guys. Every time? Scottak posted good news about the Vid and it always has to devolve into this nonsense.
If y'all want to go off on a tangent about all this do it in DM's, because it stopped being even roughly about hockey a while ago. |

Easier said than done sometimes. Everyone seems to want to do the same to Kane and he avoids a lot of it. |

They won’t be feeling good after Torts gets through with them before the 2nd period.
Down one because of Korpisalo, not anything any skater has done. |

Very true, on another note notice how BJs don't even bother pressuring Z behind his own net, and he still struggles completing a pass, yikes |
