Woah we hold grudges around here. Didn't mean to keep you up at night Dots.
I bet you Lanks isn't happy with how he played. I wasn't crapping on him - just saying it wasn't his best. - Fat_Tony_Amonte
Just got a good memory is all, don't take it personal |

Like Kane said we have trouble finishing. These boys really get my blood pumping, good game, Lanky and these young guys find a way to get 2 points. - BetweenTheDots
Playing with the lead is a skill, closing games out is a skill.
Teams need to learn how to do those things in the Show.
Hawks are still learning. They’ve learned how to win in extra time - 5-4 now, 5 in a row.
Back to “real” .500. |

For sure. It's a nice surprise that we are the team against CBJ looking to close. Not long ago that I would have been happy simply chasing games against CBJ. Nice to be on this side of the coin.
Also - CBJ does not look great right now. Woof.
EDIT: Team D looks like it's no longer their strength. |

It sure beats losing to them in the last couple of minutes like we did a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe how well we compete against the BJs

Thought occurred, why has this team not been more than .500 with Werenski and S Jones plus a few good forwards.
Recall we had Keith, Seabrook and we sucked but then came along Toews,Kane, Sharp too.
Columbus moved Dubois for Laine and Roslovic. Their goalteders is descent.
Torts and GM Kekolainen (sic) need to do something |

If 71 has a groin issue then get him out of there. And if he doesn't, he has the most brutal stride I've seen in 55+ years of anyone in the show. |

Pretty funny to see Kane get tilted by Savard tonight. You don't see the retaliatory kaner slash too often - but when you do you know he means it.

I believe it was Boquist draft year and some wanted to pluck rough and tumble B Tkachuk.
Well he has eight goals so far this shortened campaign which means maybe 30 + in a full season. Has he been a terrorizer as a pro? Some of us always lamented how we wish we had a talented big mean kid in the lineup. For the time being that is Zadorov |

Watching the replay on Laines 2nd PP goal, frickin snap shot and Lanky barely moves, goddamn
Yea i agree with Konroyd i shadow Laine and let them play 3 on 4 pk |

Laines shots teleport. It’s pretty incredible. |

Tkachuk was taken 4th. Hawks picked 8th. So he wasn't an option |

Real early. He's got time. Wasn't Gus at least 23 or > by the time the Hawks got him?
Plus to his credit he seems to get pissed when he messes up vs Gus sporting the iconic Leddy look. - HawkintheD
Gus did it on purpose. Leddy really didn't know what was happening. |

He is just slow. Not Strome slow but NHL slow |

Honest question cuz I don’t follow them: When was the last time Rockford actually had a good team? I feel like they always suck/have a losing record. - SimpleJack
This year they have a whole bunch of guys who are 1st year pros and the A is a man's league.
I like King far more than Dent. King seems to have a plan on how to get players ready for the NHL and Dent was doing his own thing for years. |

"The Blackhawks just absolutely dominated the Blue Jackets in the first period. They led in shot attempts (29-10), shots on goal (17-5), scoring chances (12-7) and high-danger chances (6-2), according to Natural Stat Trick. The Blackhawks took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission but the Blue Jackets were lucky it wasn't more."
How is it possible to have more scoring chances than shots? |

Add in shots blocked and missed shots - the 29 attempted shots. Don’t need a shot on net to get credited for a scoring chance or HDSC. |

New blog! A recap of another proverbial shootout between the Blackhawks and Blue Jackets with DeBrincat winning it in the actual shootout.
Plus, a recap of the IceHogs first win of the season after starting 0-5-1.
