I still think this is a very skilled team. I also think it is a very poorly coached team. I believe Benning that this could be turned around quickly but I also think they need some changes.

You should not be going into the third period and blowing two goal leads or any lead. They need to learn to shut teams down and also keep the pressure on.

Miller has been a turnover machine and Hughes is giving up goals that have killed us all year round.

There is a lot wrong right now but there is also a lot right.

I think it's more about all the bottom 6 guys that are dragging the team down rather than the top guys. The top guys aren't playing their best right now, given, but the bottom 6 and depth guys just aren't doing anything.

The Canucks are super fragile – just how confidence works. They were super confident last year. This year they've lost their mojo.

Man I miss Motte.

Winnipeg is the team that I thought could surprise everyone.

I thought Montreal was too weak at center to do much damage.

Their top 6 and goaltending are among the best in the league. But I really thought their D needed some serious work outside their top pairing. But they are getting excellent contributions from their bottom 4 D.

MTL reality is setting in much like the honeymoon Flames fans had with Marky/Tanev

I was hoping 7 years ago he would have come out and said "Boy Gillis sure left me a heaping pile of sh1t. All these old slow fockers and and their NTCs" That would have been quite the speech

The bottom 6 are close to a goal a game but I can agree. Do you think any of them will be here next year? I don't.

Pionk is better than most thought. Add one or two pieces and they will be good.

Two picks in the top 40 it looks as of now.

Benning probably trade those away for immediate help to save his job.

Apparently Miller is skating on Sutters line with Gaudette today . Hogs with Petey.

Not defending all of the bottom 6 guys, but they have contributed 25% of the teams goals, the defense has provided 13.5% of the teams goals.
Tells me they are getting some good contributions from some of the depth guys and the top 6 just hasn't been good enough.
But, IMO, it has something to do with having 2 guys on Bo's line, that should currently be 3rd liners.

Interesting

Calgary have given away 5 first and second round picks since 2014 ( 2 firsts 3 seconds)

Benning has given away 4 first and second round picks (one first three seconds)

Typical, Juolevi has been playing very well, but let's take him out of the lineup.
How about taking out Roussel and dress 6 defensemen and the rover.

Tanner Pearson leads the #Canucks
with 35 goals overall & 22 goals at home since being acquired on Feb 25, 2019

Pearson is a top 6 guy. And if the bottom 6 is contributing 25%, the D 13.5%... that means the top 6 is contributing 61.5%? Not sure how that breaks down league wide, but I'm pretty sure having Sutter and Motte (injured) score 11 goals and the rest of the bottom six scoring 6 goals between the 6/7 players is pretty bad.
