Well, He should

Or will his new team not be so desperate to also offer him GM duties?

Kevyn Adam's Is saying all the right things and he can remove Krueger but he can't trade or fire the owners, It's a shame that Sabre fans are the biggest losers In this tired and seemingly old story.

Despite assurances from Sabres management, it is well known that Eichel is not satisfied. I suspect all of the current Sabres players (except the goaltenders) would welcome a trade. The team is clearly playing like they have no interest in success. Nothing has changed since O'Reilly left. the players simply do not care. The most recent rebuild has been wasted and needs to begin anew.

Things will not improve for the Sabres until the owners relinquish control to people with hockey acumen. Player development will continue to flounder and the team will not improve as long as the current personnel and management structure are maintained.

You mean Kim Pegula isn't qualified to be heading up the Professional Hockey Team?

Okay GM Adams, the Pegulas have given you the green light to do whatever you have to do so since you cannot make any trades, get rid of the worst coach to ever have coached in the NHL. Don't let Krueger bs you with his smooth-talking rubbish. He knows nothing about hockey. He took a floundering team and made it the worst in the league. How much more proof do you need? The proof is in the pudding and it isn't palatable nor will it ever be with Ralph at the helm.

Contrary to what has been written and talked about by internet clickbait “artists” and dining room table “podcasters”, Buffalo Sabres captain Jack Eichel has not asked the Buffalo Sabres to trade him.

Wow. Taking a swipe at Ek.

Legit, is this a coach/system thing? I cant believe that Skinner, Eichel and Hall have a combined less than 5 goals. Contracts aside, that seems really off to me.

I always thought if you had grabbed a better goalie in the off-season that the Sabres would make noise.

Perhaps a player like O'Reilly was actually the solution, and the rest of the Core was the problem.

I agree and disagree with your blog. What ever happened to pride putting on an NHL sweater and hitting the Ice to leave it all out there? It’s all about picking and choosing now, i want to play with this or that guy attitude needs to go. When you make $10m per year you should go through a brick wall with the guys on your side. I get losing sucks, but this year the teams are playing in smaller divisions made of 7 to 8 teams, that’s like the original 8 days when teams battled the same players over and over. That should make any team want to push harder every night and punish your competitors.

We really are entering an era of pro sports where guys pick and choose if, when and where they'll play. Even the Kyrie Irving thing. Like if you don't feel like playing a couple weeks just go awol. You're Jack Eichel and things aren't going your way, just mail it in.

We're reaching a point where team, city and the colors(colours) mean nothing. Being a fan of pro sports these days is more about being a 'Stan' of an individuals success and ability and watching them exploit that for their personal gain. Like the same way people obsess over the Kardashians or something.

Eichel doesn't want to be traded. Fine. And trading players in today's limited border-crossing/ need to be isolated for 2 weeks world is far from ideal for any team.

But would Johnny Gaudreau and Sam Bennett, plus some salary retention to keep things cap neutral, be enough to tempt a trade? Throw in another B prospect from the Flames? Include a Buffalo attitude-problem player to make up for taking on Sam?

If Taylor Hall is getting ready to leave at year end, by many sources, I get why keeping Eichel makes sense and not just for that reason. But I'm curious.

I think it would take something like this:

To Calgary Flames:

Jack Eichel + Sam Reinhart

To Buffalo Sabres:

Johnny Gaudreau
Sean Monahan
Sam Bennet
Connor Zary (1st round pick 2020)
1st Round Pick (2021)

I think Eichel is in his own category, not McDavid's category but still in his own category that is elite player. So it's going to take a lot to get him out of Buffalo.

Tkachuk has to be coming the other way. Johnny Hockey is on an expiring deal next year and is going to be UFA. That makes 2 more years of Monahan before UFA as the featured piece.

Tkachuck is pretty much as untouchable as it gets in the NHL.

If that's the case, I doubt the Sabres trade with the Flames. The Sabres have to get a mainstay back if they move Eichel.

Sabres should trade him anyways. Look EDM has at least managed to make the playoffs with just 2 players. This BUF team has much more talent on it than EDM.
Eichel is a point per game guy, Hall is a former Art Ross winner and Skinner is just 2 years removed from a 40 goal season. Not to mention guys like Reinhart, Dahlin, Staal and Oloffsson.

I could be wrong but perhaps Eichel just isnt fit to lead this team anywhere. Perhaps what the Sabres really need is Leadership.

Kevyn Adams has done a good job obtaining good players, they just have no direction or motivation from their coach. It is time for Krueger to go, plain and simple. Pull the trigger and get a seasoned coach like Gallant or some other winning coach. No more of these unproven losers. Do we have to wait to see another 5-2 loss? Really? How much more proof do you need? Either way, the team isn't going to get into the playoffs or win a Stanley Cup with Ralph. He has proven that he cannot coach.
