NEVER HAD THE WORDS OUT OF MY MOUTH LAST NIGHT IN THE THIRD PERIOD. " PUT 2 DEFENSE MEN OUT ON YOUR POWER PLAY " WHEN BANG ANOTHER SHORTY AGAINST THE HAWKS . BASIC HOCKEY COACHING. - Ging72
Let me get this right, "you're blaming the coach for Dinky's bad pass?" |

From what I've read and heard, it is only slightly up. Obviously, the sales to consumers have skyrocketed, but restaurant sales have also plummeted.
I've spoken to many winemakers (my brother-in-law has a restaurant in central CA), and many of them have been working overtime to get their wine sold. Most of them at a notable discount as well - for retail at least. - Chunk
You're saying "retail has lower margins than wholesale?"

Not at all. I'm saying they need to drop trou in order to sell their volume. |

[quote=jhawk59]Strange as playoff hockey sounds again the Blackhawks are in a position to win the fourth spot over Dallas and Columbus. Nashville, however, may actually be the strongest competitor to gain entry to the post season should Chicago stumble in the final month of the regular season
We just saw Nashville. Their coach had them playing tough defense. Saros could lead them into the playoffs, not Rhine. The Preds do more things right than Chicago and is the better team right now. They have some Injured players but so what, they are playing better than us - they could get that last spot.
It’s Rinne and you should know that since he owns you. Cane has been a much better player since he grew up, curtailed the drinking and assaulting cabbies, women. Rhine? Sheesh - VopatsRash
Put the Crack pipe down.....VorASS.... Rinne is a Sieve and it's Kane you dimwit.🥴🥴🥴🥴 |

Blackhawks holding optional practice. Mike Hardman is here making his practice debut.
Subban, Delia, Highmore, Soderberg, Kurashev, Wallmark, Hagel, Hinostroza and Bowey are the others here
Colliton on Mike Hardman practicing today: "For now, it's just to get him sharp and up to speed. There's no specific plan for getting him in, but just wanted to get him out there with the guys." |

Loved seeing Vinnie back in a Hawks uniform and being a difference maker. There should be a lot of fans on blog sites (fans who minimized and trivialized the trade) with egg on their faces this morning. - 67hawks
I mean, what was the downside to that move? Got a real NHL player for a guy who will never sniff the NHL? The horrors.
It was a depth move. Better depth pushes others out of the line-up.
Looking at you Carpenter. |

I think the state has some ownership in the Hogs, iirc. Attendance at the UC would also involve Ms. Lightfoot. - mohel
The state doesn't own the Hogs. The city of Rockford did until the Hawks bought them. |

If the Hawks figure he fits in their plans maybe Vinnie will sign a team friendly contract for about 1M. Could be a win win situation. Hawks get a speedy energy guy like Hagel on the cheap and Vinnie stays close to home with the family. |

Ironic just like him saying Rinne owns us. Wasn't long ago that we chased him out of the net again. Welp that's hillbilly education for ya. |

Ben Pope’s tweet about this:
Details of Blackhawks purchasing IceHogs:
- New 15-year lease at BMO Harris Bank Center
- $23 million renovation plan for BMO center
- $11.8 million sale price
I think the state is paying for $16 million of the renovations.
I’m impressed that the Wirtz are making this investment with so little revenue coming in for a while. - StLBravesFan
He's making money on liquor. I get that bars aren't open, but you try and buy any good bourbon lately, supply and demand man, its hell out there. |

Though I guess it does say something that he couldn't get out of the press box in FL and most are pleased to have him............
Though i will say the last time the Hawks played them, I thought he was one of the better skaters for them that night. |

Rocky and the family keep the businesses separate - I think ownership of the liquor, hockey, and stadium businesses differ. Remember many years ago - Rocky made a big deal about the Blackhawks needing to repay the loans made to it by the other businesses. |

Sure he does, that is why he and the other owners can claim the Hockey Team doesn't make any money?
How much rent do the Hawks get charged for the Stadium? How much do they charge to stock the liquor? How much do the Hawks get charged for Stadium operations?

Beat me to it. I don't begrudge him for doing that, exactly what I would do.
you can say they keep them separate, but I bet either the Hawks or the liquor business is getting a better deal than most other customers
It does crack me up though when folks on the board get all concerned about Rocky's money or his impending bankruptcy..............

Exactly, when the Wirtz's bought up the land around the Stadium for parking, what entity bought it? In which pocket does the parking fees go?

Probably the UC partnership (Wirtz and Reinsdorf) owns the land (I'm guessing) - and the UC partnership gets the parking revenue (again, guessing, not sure - perhaps the Bulls and the Hawks get their shares directly, but I don't think the parking is part of HRR). |
