I like the Leafs. The Leafs are good most of the time. Sometimes they're bad but they are good more than they are bad.
- TheMussel

Great analysis Mussel, that head wound is healing nicely.

I really like Mikey, but i think he’s got the hockey sense of a 5 year old.

I’ll show myself out.

- Garnie

I see it different. I think he's got good hockey sense and that's shown by his defensive play. He's doing the right things, he's got great speed, unfortunately to date he's been playing with oven mitts (no (frank)ing hands).

Not at all sure if it's relevant, but he did have to have major surgery on his wrist a year ago and missed a bunch of time.

My hope is that as he gets accustomed to the game he'll be able to slow the game down in his head a little more.

Or think the game faster, if you will.

all this exactly.

I like Freddy, but I am fine of he doesnt play again for the Leafs.
he has just been steadily declining since they got him..its been slow and gradual.

but, even with the much improved D play he still stinks. now all that could be injury related? but whats the injury?

- senstroll

RogerRoeper has the inside scoop on how terrible the Leafs are hiding his injury.

Campbell can succeed where Andersen couldn't, when people said Andersen wasn't succeeding because of the team in front of him.

Its the same team.

Its not a difficult concept.

- joel878

Jesus, man. We weren’t talking about Campbell at the time. That’s the point. That’s the only point. Campbell was injured and the debate was simply about the degree of Andersen’s suckage.

I don't give a poop if you were talking about Campbell or not, my point doesn't hinge on what you were talking about. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Andersen has sucked for two years. Campbell is the first goalie not named Hutchinson (who the majority are in agreement absolutely blows) to play any significant stretch of games for the team that was making Andersen look so terrible every night, and he's doing okay.

Therefore, point about team screwing Andersen = dead.

The first . . . 6 or 7 at any rate . . .Treehouse of Horror episodes were gold. That one also had the best line, "Flanders was a zombie?"

Andersen at his peak was an above avg goalie who had long cold stretches. He was never anything special and not in 5 years did he have a run like Campbell has had.

"Freddy's numbers would be great infront of a better D". Most ludicrous argument ever. There are goalies on terrible teams with great numbers. And it completely ignored the Ducks years.

Except he wasn't. This idea he was "Left out to dry" and they only made the playoffs because of him is media-driven nonsense. Their great offenisve talent padded his wins.

Austin Matthews has been the Leafs best player since his rookie year. He's put up historicaly great 5 on 5 #s while Freddy had average stats

Linus Ullmark has a winning record and .919 % on freaking Buffalo. But poor Freddy was on Toronto so that hurt him?

Garbage narrative.

Pierre LeBrun
@PierreVLeBrun
Full trade:

Brett Connolly, Riley Stillman and Henrik Borgstrom plus a 7th Rd pick in exchange for Lucas Carlsson and Lucas Wallmark.

Connolly has 2 more yrs at $3.5M AAV. Florida freeing up cap space as part of this. Hawks using their cap space to net 2 young players

I have no idea what this trade means or who won it or why it happened
