You can retain on three players per season. That's the limit.

In the off-season when I saw him traded from CLB to Jersey for peanuts (a 4th Rounder I think it was) I was very disappointed that the Jets weren't in on him at that price, considering their defensive needs. If they can acquire him now for a comparable price I think it's a great add. Fingers crossed he stays healthy.
