can't believe return on Gudbranson was a 7th. A steal of a depth move for the Preds.

Ottawa also received prospect Brandon Fortuanto... Which probably doesn't say much for him considering a seventh round pick two years from now was considered more valuable than him.

This is an inconsequential depth move. More importantly, Poile should have dealt a few players! The Preds, as constructed, are not a legitimate cup contender. If mediocrity and just making the playoffs is Poile’s goal then he has succeeded. That is not guaranteed either! Anyone that thinks this could be a repeat of the 2017 run is delusional.

I’m not saying they need to do a complete rebuild, but stock up for the future. Let some of these bloated contracts for overpaid players expire.

The only type of deal he should've made if he wasn't selling. The Preds did need another body, the Wolves are going to run out of players if the Preds put anyone else on IR. Poile was never going to sell... He's the master of painting lead yellow and trying to sell you that it's gold.

Why would you rebuild when you are in the midst of a hot streak and will almost certainly make the play offs? And that all while having half a roster on IR.
