Coach Sullivan: "We also understand we haven't accomplished anything to this point. That's a conversation we've had with our players. We're excited about the opportunity that's in front of us, but right now, that's all it is – an opportunity. Now we got to go out and earn it."

Not ideal but I think I'd rather have Carter play RW and let Jank or Laff center the 4th line. |

The fact Carter will play next year with 1/2 retained is fantastic. Smart move to start him at Center since he has spent most of his time on the wing this season.
Zucker-Blueger-Carter is an excellent 3rd line when everyone is healthy. Zucker is good around the net so his game will match up well with a guy like Carter who likes to shoot.
Or:
Zucker-Carter-Zohorna
ZAR-Blueger- Tanev
Probably depends on if they want to play Gaudreau or Zohorna. |

For what it's worth, Kings have a boatload of talented young centers. Might have had more to do with Carter playing wing then declining play. Just speculating. |

Kills me Jeff Carter is with ‘yinz’ now. Loved that guy.
But I suppose we’ve shared a whole bunch of players over the years.
Hell, Asham played for all of our old division at one point. Lol. |

Good thought. I was just thinking let's stack up our second line even more and make our third line better with ZAR-Blue-Rod |

i think ive warmed up to the addition. i dont think hell end up there but i think it would be fun to watch him bury a few from malkin. if he can still skate and get himself into shooting areas, hes never been shy about letting it rip. that type of mindset plays well into the playoffs.
i wish he was held in fonder memory by flyers fans for it to feel like some kind of sting as jagr was haha. i feel as though his legacy is mainly the "dry island/wides/shooting it right into the crest/of course hed go on to win with the kings", than an all time legacy guy |
