As slow as I can run that clip, I still can't see "scumbag's" stick going any higher than Eichel name bar. I'd say this was a new low for Garf, if it wasn't the same low that he already hit earlier.

Routine hockey play. Dude got pushed up against the boards by someone stronger than him. Shouldn't have been a penalty, Eichel just got out muscled.

Eichel wasn't right to start the season. I think the neck injury pre-dated the season and was only aggravated by the hit from Casey.

Gark, I am someone who complains frequently about the amount of crosschecking that the refs allow and I looked at this play at least a dozen times and it looks pretty routine to me.

I suppose if the refs were going to call the game by the book (which they of course never actually do) I could see a 2 minute minor for crosschecking. However, it does not look worse than that. With the amount of crosschecking that is normally allowed something like this never gets called. There was also no supplemental discipline issued against Cizikas.

I suspect this is a case similar to Crosby's back in 2010, regarding playing while injured and then getting injured worse on a routine play because that injury made him more vulnerable.

Cizikas makes a routine hockey play that unfortunately hurts Eichel. Someone labels routine play as "Scumbag" crosscheck. Seems a bit of a stretch

If Cizikas had pulled this crap on an unsuspecting victim on the street outside the arena, he would have be facing assault charges. Why was Cizikas not penalized for his act of aggression? Why was there not hearing for Cizikas to give him supplemental punishment for the egregious high stick that has caused Eichel to sit out the last 19 games?

Cross-checking in Hockey is ridiculous and should be called until it stops.

As long as they are going to let it go, this particular crosscheck ranks way near the bottom of what happens every game in terms of severity.

If that 'crosscheck' is what ended Eichel's season, he obviously had some serious issues beforehand and was playing injured. I don't think that's even a penalty tbh.

Looked to me that his neck bent awkwardly when his helmet hit the glass a few seconds after the alleged 'crosscheck'. It happened during a regular hockey play, just two guys battling for a puck in the corner. Unfortunate yes, but nothing even close to a penalty in my opinion.

Herniated disk in the neck and 100% recovery? That’s nonsense. It’s a serious injury. Trade him while you can. The injuries will pile up on Jack and one more good check like that and he can become a veg. Get it while it’s good, trade him.

First, everyone on here is correct saying that was not a dirty hit and a routine play and check. Garth you show how dumb you really are every time you write something. Second, its great the AGM's you listed that you wanted, athough you were loving Karmanos a month ago. The problem is with hiring these scouts agm's etc is that they have to want to come here and why would you want to come to this organization? I mean you answer to Kim Pegula who just does whatever she wants and runs this team into the ground, they fire everyone and front office people every 3 years and all of those people you mentioned are more qualified than Kevyn Adams and should have his job. So until there is a REAL president of hockey ops making sure the pegula's stay out of things with hockey decisions, then it wont matter. You think that billionaire owners could figure this out since when they stepped aside from the Bills they started to flourish.
