Right, so since Zucker has a clause doesn't he have to be protected? - Rinosaur
Official rules say only guys with No Movement Clauses are automatically added to the list of protected players. Zucker has a limited NTC where he selects 10 teams he cannot be traded to. So I'm guessing his NTC doesnt protect him from the expansion list.
As others have said, I think if you get a deal for him, you make it. Take the futures and loss someone else rather than loss him for nothing. |

Tanev and Carter too. Pens are going to lose a good player. I'm starting to believe they might be better served with the cap space over Zucker. - madmike71
You protect McCann and Blueger. Let SEA take Zucker, Tanev, or Carter. |

He has an M-NTC. I thought it was any kind of trade clause. - Rinosaur
Nah just NMC. |

Regarding the expansion draft....What is the criteria for what position players play?
Like could you expose Matheson as a forward? Would he need a certain amount of games played as a forward? |

I'd imagine there are requirements for who is a forward versus defenseman.
Not sure what it matters though. He will be exposed as a forward or defenseman. |

It would have to at the very least be their primary position but in Matheson's case it is irrelevant. He's getting exposed. |

Also in regards to the expansion draft I think there's way too much focus on it.
PIT protected 9 players in the VGK expansion. 4 are still with the team.
DET protected 11 players. 2 (3 if you count Zetterberg) are still with the team. |

They need to start calling delay of game penalty’s when the puck carrier clamps on a players stick. Bullpoop power play goal. |

Agreed. I do like all of these players, but the cap space gained by losing any of these three makes the loss of any of them an easy pill to swallow |

Someone give me the low down. Had to entertain the girlfriend's parents with some ribs today. Why the hell was the score 3-2 and not 10-0? Buffalo is supposed to suck. |

Penguins' first period was probably among their best during the year. Only got one goal when they probably should've had 3 or 4. Buffalo's goaltending was very solid today.
2nd and 3rd periods were okay, a little too loose defensively at points. Buffalo had some good chances. Rodrigues continues to play well with his goal today.
Overall, it's a win. Penguins now in 2nd place. I'd rather it stay Penguins-Islanders. I think that is our best matchup. |

I think Rodrigues has looked pretty good in his role the last few weeks. |

Third period was just bad for the Pens, but they muscled it out. |

They were pretty awesome. I did them
3 different ways in the new camp chef pellet smoker I got. They were all so good it was hard to pick a favorite. |
