Leafs PP sucks. Goalies need to be better. On to the next game.

I do agree with that some of the media was discussing. That there's a lot of bottom 6 competition.

Foligno is coming. Nash is likely to play come playoffs. Who sits? Not Kerfoot. Not Spezza or Mickey. Thornton, Engvall, Simmonds are all options to sit out.

Pre-injury he was.

He's shown what I feared before he got here. That he may not be what he once was or at least couldn't hold up for an entire season. So we shall see. I'm hoping Thornton and Simmonds are going to find old man strength in the playoffs and they have been taking it easy to preserve themselves.

How do you feel that you can't see Caufield because your GM didn't game the cap system?

Don't feel bad.

Watching Eric Staal be a shadow of his former self is almost sad.

The plan was never to play Caufield in the short term. He's only on the taxi squad because the Laval Rocket cannot play for a while (they were supposed to play the Marlies and then had a week off).

If he keeps playing the way he has in the AHL, there'll be room for him. Easily.

36 and over the hill, out to pasture, finished, done...nada

Sad when you are almost 20 years older than that.

I play in a beer league against teams sometimes composed of 20 year olds.

Being about Staal's age, I'm starting to understand how he feels.

Our league is 35 and over. We had a 67 year old playing D for one team. He would slash you hack you break his stick on you, never get called for a penalty. LOL

pre injury first games Simmonds was mediocre at best at well.
Then he had quite a few good games before his injury.
I still like the signing - and think he'll be more helpful in playoff games.
however, it is clear he's lost 2 steps over last couple of seasons.

If the Ontario government shuts down travel from other provinces...is the NHL season over for Canadian teams?

Only for the Leafs and Sens.

Which is fine with me.
