Big question is, if not Carolina then where does he fit? Detroit, young upcoming group solid GM, Wings need a Coach with spirit!

I can see Brindy being the target of a serious bidding war ala the one that Babcock saw. The Flyers being interested in him would make it very interesting. I can't see Fletcher still being here if that were to happen...but that might just me being wishful.

Frankly, I think the Flyers need someone with Paul Holmgren's willingness to break up the room and not try to make the "perfect" trade.

I think that Francis is playing his cards very carefully. I wonder how open to making deals prior to the expansion draft he will be. Will we see teams trading him assets to get him to take or not take particular players. What would it cost to get him to take on Voracek?

There is no way Brindy comes to Philly. Imagine him trying to coach the laziest team in the NHL. It would kill him.

The way the Flyers have been playing lately, I would sign Brindy and put him on the ice, not behind the bench. We all know that Brindy would put in a better effort on the ice than most of the players now.

Buffalo (yes, I know) is also looking for a head coach. Add them to the list ...

Lol. Guys you trust in Carolina? Are these the same guys you “trusted” when you’ve picked them to greatly underperform the past few years and predicted they’d be bad again this year?

Add NJ to the list of destinations where Rod would be welcomed with open arms!

It was April 13th, 2017, the spring prior to the Vegas Golden Knights premiere season, that Gerard Gallant was named the franchise's first head coach. Remember, April 13th, 2017 was AFTER the 2016-17 Regular season.

It is now April 18th, the spring prior to the first season of the Seattle Krakken....and no coach has been named. The season is still going, but the time before the Krakken will open camp, is the same 5 months the Knights had.-Ek

It seems unlikely he would want to coach some of the teams mentioned above. I do not seem him signing with a team early in a rebuild like Detroit, or yet to start a needed rebuild like Philly, or an expansion team like Seattle.

I anticipate he will stay with the Canes unless the contract offer is unacceptable, or he believes the Cane are over-performing this season, or perhaps a vacancy becomes available with one of the better teams that will be upset early in the playoffs.

I don’t see him in philly. The inbreeding days are over. Past flyers being part of the resume requirement are no more. I would however take torts in a flash. Hate him for 2004 but this team needs a hard head to light the fire Too much talent to be this bad under so many different coaches

Why the hell would he leave a team that is 1 a legitimate cup contender and will be for years and two the team he literally spent half his career with and won a cup with as captain. You could probably pick 25 different coaches in the league who have a better chance of not being with the same team next year

Don't discount $$ I mean that's the reason why Trotz left DC, and he actually won a cup with them.
The Canes better not get too cute or else he can and will bounce for more money

Yeah. No amount of money is getting me to move from beautiful North Carolina to go coach an expansion team in a city where it rains 80% of the year and has the highest suicide rate in the country

At least 3 mil. He’s worth at least 4 to Philly.
