Yeah I always liked Takamine. didn't realize they were owned by ESP now, as well as Ovation. I love Ovation acoustics but they're having supply issues, so I went with the Takamine.

My other electric is a 1960's vintage Kent 820, this is stock, but the exact model (only I put a Gibson-style bridge on it and it's missing the whammy... and the electronics are in serious need of repairs, only the neck pickup works and it's all fuzzy):

That's sweet.

I'm a bassist by nature, but I write on guitar. Just got a Rickenbacker 4003 a couple months ago (usually play Fender Jazz basses), but I've always wanted a "Rick". Finally got one.

turn on the news, all white people are racists now

I can joke about this all day, but when it comes down to it, I think identity-politics is actually socially degrading society. It keeps us from working together and being together so that the elite can keep their feet on our necks while we fight and claw at each other on the floor over table-scraps.

I don't think we as a country have ever been "together". Maybe WWII. That's about all I can come up with

Well, your track-record is wishy-washy lol but no I completely get you on this one.

My favorite thing right now is how African-American actresses/models/singers like Halle Berry, Vivica Fox, Tyra Banks, Beyonce, Rihanna, etc... Can go on and on and on about how proud they are of their African heritage, yet every single one of them has butchered their African noses Michael Jackson style and also bleach their skin just like him, too.

Be proud, it's cool. But these people are role-models?

And another thing. I hear all the time how awful white-people are. Yeah, I know, I was raised by them

But seriously. I read reddit posts a lot. A black woman spills her guts about how she is made uncomfortable by white people "wanting to touch he nappy hair" or making remarks about their complexion or features... And I just turn into a white Kanye

"Imma let you finish, but white people do this to each other, only it's worse and we can't call each other racists for it"

Like my god, we all suck, I know but so does everyone else, too.

People get mad at me when I say America isn't diverse and it's a white country founded by white men, for white men.

Seriously. There's 331 million Americans, the census data was just released. Let's round it up to 350 because of all the actual Appalachian hillbillies, illegal immigrants, homeless people and migrant workers. 60 million Hispanic/Latino people (and they're counted as "white" on the census). 40 million African-Americans. About 4 million Asian-Americans. A few million more various minorities including Native Americans. That means 250 million out of the 350 million people living here are "Caucasian" white. 310 million are "White/Hispanic white".

That ain't diverse.

Not to mention, the country was founded by a bunch of "terrorists" who felt that a King ruling them from across the ocean was absurd, so they were going to make a country of their own where "All Men are created equal", meanwhile, the dark-skinned people in the fields that these men purchased and owned, called slaves, were literally considered to be sub-human only because of their dark complexion.

While having this meeting, their women would bring them tea and snacks. Those women were also considered to be sub-human. The children, too.

It was founded by white men, to be for white men. When the slaves were freed, guess where they went? (frank)ing nowhere. That's where. They stayed on the plantations. Because they had a community, church, work and shelter. It's not cool but it's true. Then they were only considered to be 3/5ths of a man. They weren't even considered to be fully human still, BY LAW.

Women couldn't even vote until 100 years ago only!

98% of American Presidents have been white. Only TWO of them have been Catholic. And the CIA had one of them assassinated. This one will probably die in office, seriously.

Get ready for President Harris, guys. I'd say the over/under is 50% and I'm taking the over on this bet.

Nah man, there was a lot of my generation who felt like we deserved that and were vehemently against both the war on terror and the Nationalism they disguised as Patriotism in it's wake.

I still think they had intel and decided a national tragedy would "unite us as a country" and also they wanted a shiny new building in the exact spot two ageing towers were sitting.

And all those other building nowhere near the other ones that somehow fell at free-fall speed.

Bad qbs = throw to the tight end because they cant read the defense. Obviously there are some exceptions, like pat mchomes.

I vivdly remember watching the first images of the invasion of Iraq as a 13 year old. They were recycling the same 5-10 gif-length, night-vision videos. I watched for like 5 hours.

People younger than 30 will never understand pre-9/11 America and the irreversible change from that event.

It was my moon landing, unfortunately.

I was in 10th grade skipping class. Walked by a room on their off-period and saw a smoking tower, doubled-back and asked the teacher sin the room if this is real footage. They said yeah, and I asked "Is this happening right now?" to which they said "Yeah" as another plane flew into the building next to it.

I remember the subsequent months vividly. Went to war, blah, blah, ladies and gentleman we got him, blah, blah... Then tried and convicted a man in domestic courts and had him hanged even though he was a CIA puppet to begin with. Saddam was OUR guy.

I got suspended several times and ultimately expelled for my peaceful protests as a teenager during high school. I flat our refused to stand for the pledge and had teachers almost physically assault me over it. I laid down in the middle of the hallways or in open display cases. Whenever they asked why, I said I was protesting the war.

I thought it was a joke. I wrote it in my diary... "America had a very funny joke today." I laughed about it later that night!

/endAnchorman reference but seriously. America, the Bush administration, and our lovely mother England, saw an opportunity to tighten their grip on the middle East.

The prescription drug market was about to boon, and take off. Where does opium come from... hmm... The same place Osama Bin Laden does? War. Where does the oil hail from? Iraq? Well we got our guy the... He's gassing Kurds? Okay time to step-in and modernize Iraq guys.

Afghanistan was the target all along. Opium, precious metals and minerals... Afghanistan is full of them. Over-flowing, even.

The super-powers realized that a perpetual "war" on an unseen foe "terror" was nothing but profit, profit, profit. We learned from Vietnam. Don't go in and try to win a war. Go in and drag the war out for decades while pillaging the land and raping the people.

Act like it's not the truth.

In her defense, it was a pre-recorded live take that she did before the game.

I would say a good 4/5 live performances are lip-synched, auto-tuned or back-tracked. They even have buttons on the microphones now to change pitch, auto-tune, activate backing tracks and layers...

All of it is a farce.
